Life’s been Lifin as they say but ain’t it suppose to?! Gotta ride the waves and catch the new ones 😌🤲🏽
I’m extremely grateful for this weekend. Got to get outta town for a couple days and visit my bruddah @static_soul down on Native Ioway land. Got rained out of camping before I even pulled up, but the universe knew what I needed and provided. I had my first foraging trip and found some beautiful turkey tail & wood ear mushrooms, tons of other mushrooms I wasn’t brave enough to challenge my knowledge on, papaw fruit (finally living my *clothed* naked & afraid experiences 😂), all of the beautiful nature, and plenty reminders out there just for me to hear. The Ioway held a ceremonial dance/drum circle walking out their elders, young princesses, & warriors. I will most definitely be back and tappin in with that forest again 🙏🏽

Spent Labor Day weekend creating music and community with our people at Water Works Pops at Lauridsen Amphitheater for the @desmoinessymphony Cinematic Magic Family Festival and Concert.

Children and families made their own beats with Hip Hop 101 Coaches Mo and Dom, friendship bracelets with Ms. Rachel, and a few new friends along the way. The equipment at our beat making station was made possible through grants from the @polkcounty_iowa Polk County Board of Supervisors and @prairie_meadows Prairie Meadows. Forever grateful for the resources that allow our young people to explore their gifts and create something of their own.

Put good people, creativity and community in the same place and beautiful things tend to happen.

Thank you Maestro Joseph Giunta, Richard Early, Josh Barlage, Angela Schwartz, Calla Whipp and everyone at the @desmoinessymphony and @desmoinessymphonyacademy for inviting us into this moment. Your faith in the B.WELL Foundation team and programming and the ways you have continued to support us through the years mean more than we can say.

Forever grateful. Forever indebted..🌹🌿

Aight Check it out yall, I really used to be 220lbs. That version of me has been dead and gone for a long time. I was treating myself poorly thinking I was living my best life. I’ve been plant based 7 years now and it is a huge part of why I have been able to pivot my life around so much. I am not here to tell anyone what to do. But I can share my wins and lessons from my own experience and this is one of my greatest wins. To wake up everyday, put in work, and love myself for real. If you want a change in your life then make it happen. Change your surroundings. Change where you spend your money. Change where and who you hang out with if you must. But I’m tellin you if you change your diet it will only bring clarity to everything else. Like Nip said tho this shit a marathon and I’m in it everyday!
