Introducing Boudicca Collins ( @boudiccapaloma ). Her paintings explore the complexities of identity, culture and belonging in a world of constant movement and change. They offer a space for reflection and meditation. She is inspired by a range of historical and contemporary sources including the Renaissance, mythology, Indian miniature paintings, science fiction, and pop culture. Collins graduated from BA Fine Art from Slade School of Fine Arts ( @sladegradpainting ) and completed the Turps Studio Programme ( @turpsbanana ) recently in 2025. She received the Clyde Hopkins Award by A.P.T ( @aptstudiosgallery ) (2025) and has been involved in a variety of exhibitions such as ‘Wicker Arms’, curated by ha.lf ( @ha.lf ) and the icing room (@the_icing_room ) at Staffordshire Street ( @staffordshirest ) (2025) and MKTPLC at Plop Residency ( @plop.residency ) —— ‘Prima Materia’, Acrylic on Linen, 120 x 90cm, 2025 — Featured in ‘Like A Kite, without A Breeze’, Projects Kavel Rafferty @projects_kavelrafferty , 10th - 14th September 2026 Curated by @portfolio.milly @lillyamber_art (Chip In Co-Founders📞) — Sponsored by Archival Print @archival_print and Jubel Beer @jubelbeer — 📸: @lillyamber_art by @chipin.art
Bruno Mausgrad (b.1987, Kent) ( @mausgrad ) is an artist based at Acme Studios ( @acme.art ), London. His practice explores painting as a mode of intensified attention and disclosure: a means of becoming more sensitive to what ordinarily remains peripheral, overlooked or unresolved within experience. Mausgrad received his degree in English Literature from King’s College, University of Cambridge ( @cambridgeuniversity )(2009). His most recent exhibitions include Floating to the Edge, Frank Gallery ( @frankwhitstable ); BFAMI ( @bfami_ ) 2026, Phillips Auction House ( @phillipsauction ); Works on Paper 7, Blue Shop Gallery ( @blueshopgalleries ); Circling Around, Calder Contemporary Gallery ( @caldercontemporarygallery )(2025); Lido Open 2025, Lido Stores ( @lido_stores_margate ) Margate; Standing Ground, Thames-side Studios Gallery (@thamessidestudiosse18 ) (2024). — ‘Cradle’, Oil on Panel, 20.5 x 25.5cm, 2026 — Featured in ‘Like A Kite, without A Breeze’, Projects Kavel Rafferty @projects_kavelrafferty , 10th - 14th September 2026 Curated by @portfolio.milly @lillyamber_art (Chip In Co-Founders📞) — Sponsored by Archival Print @archival_print and Jubel Beer @jubelbeer — 📸: @lillyamber_art by @chipin.art
Betty Rose ( @bettyroseart ) is a multidisciplinary artist and drag queen, a perennial paradox, haunting the space between the lines of truth and fiction. Through re-imagining narratives from folklore and mythology, she endeavours to explore queer potentialities as well as facets of her own identity. Characters recur throughout her work in iterations, such as The Angel, The Mermaid and The Witch. The transformative process of embodying these characters is as essential to her work as the short form performances, videos and drawings through which they are experienced. She graduated from MA Fine Art at Leeds Art University ( @leedsartsuni ) (2024) and completed a graduate residency at East Street Arts ( @eaststreetarts ) (2025) —— ‘Impeccable Aquatic Vertebrate (She will Devour or be Devoured ), Oil & Acrylic on Canvas, 41 x 51cm, 2026 — Featured in ‘Like A Kite, without A Breeze’, Projects Kavel Rafferty @projects_kavelrafferty , 10th - 14th September 2026 Curated by @portfolio.milly @lillyamber_art (Chip In Co-Founders📞) — Sponsored by Archival Print @archival_print and Jubel Beer @jubelbeer — 📸: @lillyamber_art by @chipin.art
Alex Morante ( @slipslob )(b.1994, USA) is an artist based in London working in figurative ceramic sculpture. Her work depicts distorted beasts and figures drawn from her subconscious and from dark imagery in myth, lore, and iconography. The grotesque and the abject are central references; her sculptures hold uneasy dualities in tension: growth and decay, empathy and fear, the familiar and the unknown. A diagnosis of chronic illness brought instability and adaptation into the centre of her making. She builds complex surfaces using oxides layered with crystalline and crater glazes, evoking mold, lichen, rust, and verdigris. Kiln and chemistry function as collaborators. The unpredictable nature of ceramic processes becomes a way of manifesting transformation, deterioration, and endurance directly on the form. Morante holds a BA (Hons) in Ceramic Design from Central Saint Martins (2025) ( @csm_news ). Her awards include the TKE Victoria House Residency ( @tkestudios ) (2026), Mawddach Residency Graduate Award ( @mawddachresidency ) (2026) and The Jenny Walton Masters Award (2023). Her work is currently on display in Margate at TKE Studios until the 1st November and in London at The Groucho Club ( @thegrouchoclub ) ‘Feast of Fools’, curated by Corbin Shaw ( @corbinshaww ). — ‘Snatcher’, Glazed Stoneware, 18 x 8 x 8cm, 2026 — Featured in ‘Like A Kite, without A Breeze’, Projects Kavel Rafferty @projects_kavelrafferty , 10th - 14th September 2026 Curated by @portfolio.milly @lillyamber_art (Chip In Co-Founders📞) — Sponsored by Archival Print @archival_print and Jubel Beer @jubelbeer — 📸: @lillyamber_art by @chipin.art

Both Lilly and I would like to extend our gratitude to all those who participated in Art BBQ last year, our first debut group show, we were absolutely honoured by the support, positivity and the generosity of all the artists involved. I would also like to thank Katie (director @studio44ad ) who gave us the space and opportunity to launch Chip In and our curatorial journey with community at its heart. Spanning over two rooms at 44AD Artspace ( @studio44AD ) in the ground floor gallery, ‘Art BBQ’ honoured community, connections and the joy of gathering, through an installation that celebrates emerging artists. “The art world can be isolating, competitive and difficult to navigate, particularly when you’re emerging and starting out. Opportunities can feel scarce, knowledge can feel inaccessible and elitist, and the informal conversations that once happened naturally in art school can disappear overnight. That’s why we need to keep building our own communities.” - @portfolio.milly — New piece of writing on our substack 💗 📸: @ashley_cerrino_studio_gallery by @chipin.art
