She came to me because she wanted something completely different.

She told me she’d seen my page and noticed my work stands out — and that many lash artists struggled to work with her eye shape.

The funny thing? She has gorgeous, uplifting eyes that are actually so fun to work with.

Because she wanted a totally unique look, I knew right away the L-curl would be perfect for her — and I was right. 😉

I went for a full L-curl set — but I played with placement.
I placed some diagonally, some straight, all to give her that perfect lift and open look.

That’s the beauty of the L-curl: it’s not just about the curl itself, but how you place it.

For her bottom lashes, I used “J” to mirror the spikiness of the top lashes — and it tied the whole look together.

She loved it.
I loved it.
And honestly… I’m obsessed with this result.

This inspo was HARD to recreate, because its waayy fuller than my sets usually are🥲
Took me almost 4hrs!
But… I’m in LOVE with the result and my client LOVED it as well🤩

As you can see, this lovely client naturally has quite small eyes, so the goal for today was to create the illusion of bigger, more open eyes while still keeping the set flattering for her natural features.

And honestly… I think mission accomplished. 👀✨

Every client has a different eye shape, natural lash strength, and facial structure. What looks beautiful on one client might look too heavy or create a droopy effect on another.

As a Lash Artist, it’s not just about creating volume. It’s about understanding which technique, curl, and styling best suits your client.

Russian Volume isn’t bad, but it’s not always the right choice.

It’s not about which technique is better. It’s about knowing when to use the right one. ✨

Lash Tech or Lash Artist? 🤍

Let me start by saying that one is not better than the other. Both have their own skills, qualities and specialties. The difference lies mainly in the approach and the knowledge applied during a treatment.

✨ A Lash Tech

A lash tech focuses on professionally applying lash extensions. This includes clean isolation, proper attachment, good retention and creating the look the client desires. Whether it’s a classic one by one, hybrid or a full volume set, a lash tech focuses on delivering a beautiful and professional result.

✨ A Lash Artist

A lash artist looks beyond the application itself. They consider the client’s eye shape, natural lashes, curl, length, mapping, texture and the overall look that suits the individual. The goal is to create a set that is not only beautiful but also customized to the unique features of each eye.

This doesn’t mean every lash tech works the same way, or that every lash artist has the same level of knowledge. Everyone has their own approach, and that’s what makes our industry so interesting. 🤍

There is a difference between a lash tech and a lash artist, and both are valuable. 🤍

A lash tech focuses on mastering the application techniques, creating beautiful sets through proper isolation, placement, and styling.

A lash artist takes customization a step further. We look at the client’s eye shape, natural lashes, and personal features to determine what suits them best.

Every curl, length, and mapping is chosen intentionally, and we can explain to our clients why we believe a certain choice is more suitable for them.
