When I made the decision to move to Wales for this house, it just made sense to me. I felt like it called me here.
It’s not just the house either, there’s so much about this country I knew aligned with the life I wanted to be living.

If there’s a challenge or change that keeps nudging back into your mind, don’t ignore it. With some work, patience and grit you can build the life you want - even ON YOUR OWN 👊🏼

I heard this today and it’s so true!
Sometimes what you keep out of your life can be the key to you flourishing more than what you need to add in.
I’m not the people pleaser I once was in my 20s, but I know I need to put some serious work into this area.
From things as small as your own habits, behaviour you accept from others al the way up to the big stuff like evaluating careers, where you live and your closest relationships - life audits are it 🔥 by @chloe.demeter.x

I was actually embarrassed that I couldn’t complete a 5k anymore, and I was going to keep that to myself that I ever lost that fitness level for a while. But you can’t be great at everything all of the time - there are only so many plates you can keep spinning.
We are bombarded with everyone’s biggest achievements on social media, and it’s so easy to fall into the comparison trap instead of feeling good that you’ve been able to put some time into something and see progress. Particularly those of us who achieved further/faster/stronger/leaner goals in the past, because you are comparing with 25 year old you who had completely different circumstances.

No doubt some point it’s one of those ‘fitness measures’ that will have to be re-achieved again when another life priority takes over.

I hope you let yourself feel good about something you denied yourself the high-five for 💖 by @chloe.demeter.x

If only it was as easy as I’ve made it look here 🥵
The good news is, if you are planning to try this yourself I can share with you what worked well, and mistakes I made along the way so that you have an easier time of it.
Stubborn people only, and be prepared for a lot of mess and boredom.

I still have a bit to do before they are ‘finished’ but I am very relieved to be at this stage.

I have already promised myself more slow beach days with sun on my skin this year after spending many of the hot days indoors sanding floorboards last year 😅

It’s a bit of a pain not having curtains in my room at the moment, but waking up to see stars, snow, sun-rays and even rain has been beautiful!
With it being Dìdi’s first snow I couldn’t help but throw open the sash for him to perch on his favourite spot and take it in.
Mei Mei in her old age has seen it many a time so watched it from bed.
