Honeycomb and chocolate cupcakes , with honey buttercream 🧁 for this weeks @sundayafternoonbakingclub ‘celebration’ theme - whilst I love a big celebration cake, cupcakes are a much more convenient option for birthday gatherings , and give you a good excuse to crack out the cute cupcake cases 🥰 I couldn’t tell you the last time I made honeycomb.. so this wasn’t the best and took it too dark and ended up chewy, but still went down nicely for my nieces birthday 🤗 #cupcakes #baking #homebaking #sundayafternoonbakingclub #cupcakeideas by @chloe_proc

Tiramisu cake by @scientifically.sweet for this months #cbcbakealong @cookingbychapter theme ‘cutting corners’ 👩‍🍳made this for my sisters birthday , a coffee and vanilla sponge is swirled together and then drenched in coffee syrup and topped with a mascarpone cream (which i did change from the recipe as I wanted mascarpone to make it closer to the original dessert!) #cake #baking #tiramisucake #traybake by @chloe_proc

Layers - a wholemeal spelt shortbread base, topped with fig jam, followed by a layer of hazelnut frangipane and topped with fresh figs! Panettone bread and butter pudding with roast plums - made using @nicolaalamb recipe in sift where you make a spiced citrus infused custard and bake in a loaf tin. Once cool it can be sliced and pan fried for toasty caramelised goodness 👌 switched up the fruit for plums because they are very good right now, and used panettone instead of brioche as I had one hanging around that slightly past its best before (so perfect for soaking in custard!). Bakers perks, getting to make your own birthday cake 👌🥳 foraged some blackberries at the weekend and used them to make a pear and blackberry compote, which went perfectly with this sticky ginger and caramelised white chocolate buttercream cake👩‍🍳 went down a treat with friends on the bank holiday and most took an extra slice home 😋ate the last slice for breakfast today because that’s allowed when it’s your birthday isn’t it? 😂 #cake #seasonalbaking #gingercake #blackberrycompote #cakeinspiration taken in Suffolk by @chloe_proc

Apricot and rosemary pastry cream galettes with spelt pastry - it was hard to pick a stone fruit for this month’s @cookingbychapter prompt , and then the decision to go sweet or savoury? So many decisions! But I love an apricot, and they pair lovely with herbs like rosemary so these were delightful with some vanilla ice cream 👌 recipe based of one on @alinavrnk page, swapping rhubarb for apricot and infusing the pastry cream with rosemary 🤗 #cbcbakealong #apricotgallette #homemadepastry #baking #gallette by @chloe_proc

Blackberry , Brie and Thyme Brioche Bun! Picked some gorgeous blackberries on my dog walk the other morning and wanted to have another attempt at brioche after my last batch didn’t rise so this weeks #sundayafternoonbakingclub was a good excuse to play around with some buns! something sweet and savoury, some of these were devoured warm out of the oven , but the rest made good picnic buns! #brioche #blackberries #baking #briochebuns by @chloe_proc
