Are you really a true foodie if you didn’t take some engagement shots at a restaurant?

@chaisdelachaise was one of our first memorable date nights when we started dating. It’s where we celebrated Jackson’s birthday together for the first time, so when we were trying to come up with ideas of one last spot for photos, Jackson immediately thought of this restaurant! And they came out as some of our favorite photos.

The bonus was the waitress sat us at the same exact table from 4 years ago without knowing 💕

If you didn’t know yet, here’s your PSA that @furys_restaurant is now serving brunch on Sundays and it’s VERY delicious!

We ordered Shrimp Deviled Eggs, Stuffed Breakfast Beignets, Sardou with Eggs, and the Seafood Omelet (a must-order in my opinion) amongst some various fun brunch drinks.

A full recap of eats & drinks from my home-based bachelorette weekend! (Had to take my bridesmaid with celiac to the best gluten free spots). We definitely finished the weekend with full bellies and happy tastebuds

All I wanted for my bachelorette weekend was a relaxing night in bonding with my bridesmaids and to be able to share a fantastic meal, and @xanhnola helped make that come true!

They came over, cooked at the house, and served us some incredibly delicious and beautiful dishes. We loved being able to hear her creation of the dishes and all their components.

Our fully gluten free menu was:
- Shrimp Toast
- Rice Paper Arugula Salad
- Pho-Braised Beef Grillades with Roasted Cauliflower and Caramelized Onion Sticky Rice
- Pandan Banana Pudding

I have been eyeing up @moi.nola ever since they opened, and wish I had gone much sooner!

The dishes at this Vietnamese spot were packed with flavor and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried especially the Grilled Pork Sausage Spring Rolls! Our mains were the Caramelized Pork & Egg and the Chicken Curry.

Y’all go get in your Coolinary Deals before the end of the month! And don’t sleep on the menu at @barutapas

Their menu deal had some delicious options, but @_forkitover_ and I decided on:

Course 1: Atun Crudo (tuna tartar, charred pineapple, yuzu olive oil, and plantain chips) & Cuajada (burrata, grilled peaches, creole tomato, and guava gastrique) for a little split and share action

Course 2: Pargo Rojo (pan seared red snapper, lobster, coconut bisque, grilled summer squash)

Course 3: Maduros Foster (sweet plantain, Barbados, rum toffee caramel, vanilla ice cream)

Long overdue, but tried a new spot for a Tuesday and Thursday night steak special! We love a steak night that offers a filet OR ribeye (and you know I’m always going for that ribeye)

First Coolinary deal of the month was definitely a success at @lularestaurantdistillery and only for $36!

Outside of the delicious course 2 & 3 food options, this brunch is especially perfect to pregame your weekend plans with their bottomless vodka first course with 5 mixers to choose from. Much like the red dress runners were doing the day we went in! by @chompondat

@empanola ‘s newest location in the CBD! Tucked away on Common Street, this was the perfect spot for a quick breakfast. Good for visitors in nearby hotels, locals playing tourist, and nearby offices for any catering needs!

What we ordered:

Everything made from scratch using fresh ingredients - what more could you want out of a restaurant?

It was our first trip to @pupusasnola504 and it certainly won’t be our last. So glad we got to try it after all these years of it being on our list!

The way I ran to @mollysriseandshine when @yumi_haee alerted the media (me) that they have gluten free fried chicken! 🏃🏻‍♀️💨 And for my celiac people they now have a dedicated fryer!

Went for the chicken, but overall was an awesome meal. The collard greens and grits wasn’t something that really originally caught my attention on the menu, but they said a lot of people get the gf fried chicken with that dish so I rolled with that. And MAN I’m so glad I did. It almost had a little sweetness to it ✨

And of course you know I couldn’t pass up on a fancy, crunchy hash brown - The McCaviar taken in Molly's Rise and Shine by @chompondat
