Life’s had a lot of “wow” moments lately

I’m still processing this moment. Both mentally and in Lightroom.

This was my first time seeing a total solar eclipse, and “disbelief” doesn’t even begin to describe the feeling. The ethereal glow as it approaches totality. The near-instantaneous switch to dusk. The brain lapse that results in a failed time lapse.

And of course, all the people around you in shock and awe as you collectively share this cosmic moment. Grateful to have seen it with the folks I did.

It was nice to simply stroll outside and watch the fireworks for once, rather than meticulously plan & stake out an ideal vantage point. 😅📸

Some of the shots you guys have been posting got me itching to shoot them for real next year though!

Hope everyone had a good 4th ✌️

I had the honor of shooting Sail4th 250, an international celebration of the United State’s 250th birthday. Consisting of a Tall Ships Parade, Naval Review, and Aerial Review, the day was a spectacular showcase of teamwork, coordination, ambassadorship, skill, and discipline from around the world. taken in New York, New York by @choyjay

The Patrouille de France (the aerobatics unit of the French Air and Space Force) performs a flyover of the Statue of Liberty as part of the “Liberté 250” mission—a special tour honoring the Franco-American friendship and celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence.

Quick look back at my Winter/Spring races, now that summer is nearly upon us. Sub-2 HM was a goal and it’s in the bag. Let’s see what marathon season has in store!
