@minculturegr #MinCultureGr #AllofGreeceOneCulture #visualarts by @chripetko
AΚΡΟΒΟΛΙΣΤΕΣ/SKIRMISHERS Archaeological Museum of Florina (3, Sidirodromikou Stathmou, Florina) Οpening: 10-11 July 2026, 19:00 Duration: 10 July-30 August 2026 @yiannishadjiaslanis @marsideri Curated by Christina Petkopoulou @chripetko Production assistants: Efthymia Tseprailidou, George Toulios Graphic Design: @penelopethomaidi While dominant accounts of modern Greek history have largely been framed through the geopolitical axis of East and West and the histories of powerful actors, how were these upheavals experienced at the local level, in collective and personal memory? Do great historical events leave their traces upon the mountains? Can the landscape itself become a living archive of historical rupture? The artistic and curatorial research sought to listen to testimonies that linger like whispers: those of water, forests, animals and mountain peaks; of their sounds, and of the voices of the human and more-than-human communities that inhabited or passed through this land. Drawing on original archival material, the exhibition at the Archaeological Museum of Florina brings together a photography installation by visual artist and photographer Yiannis Hadjiaslanis, a performance by musician and visual artist Maria Sideri in collaboration with trumpeter Antonis Kostopoulos, and theatre-based workshops for children and adolescents designed by Chara Lioliou. The production is presented as part of the Ministry of Culture’s "All of Greece, One Culture" 2026 programme. The event is offered free of charge by the Ministry of Culture. Participants are only required to pay the archaeological site's admission fee of €5, which applies to visitors over the age of 25. Participation in the workshops is free of charge. . . #allofgreeceoneculture #akrovolistes #archaeologicalmuseumofflorina #florina by @chripetko

Η Ρίζα που Πάλλεται/The Palpitating Root EP.: 4: ΖΩΑΝΘÍΑ|ZOANTHÍA Maria Varela @maria_varela_mv and @cocos.workspace @semiramx @alikineda @gorgan.toulios zanavossu @despi_sharp @m.poluzou Curated by: Christina Petkopoulou Opening: May 20, 2026, 20:00 Tagm. Naoum, Florina,  May 20, 2026 – July 1, 2026  Η Ρίζα που Πάλλεται/The Palpitating Root concludes its yearly cycle with its fourth chapter and the show ΖΩΑΝΘÍA | ZOANTHÍA (2026), a project that emerged from the collaboration between visual artist Maria Varela and a community of young creators sharing a common interest in threads, craft practices, and collective modes of making. Artifacts, patterns, and symmetries flow through materialities within the flexible body of time, transmitting their genetic information into its historical circulatory system. Shapes and traces of human and non-human entities are mirrored in the gaze of creators from the past, present, and future, passing into their eternal hands and from there, back into matter. A sculptural vocabulary of textures, findings or fossils, objects, animals, or flowers, ΖΩΑΝΘÍA | ZOANTHÍA is an imaginary, yet strangely familiar ecosystem inviting us to delight in its riddle. . . by @chripetko

🌱As part of the third episode of its exhibition program titled The Palpitating Root, FANKA Florina Art Residency collaborates with the Folklore Museum of the Florina Cultural Club @laografiko.florinas , where, starting Monday, April 20, 2026, the work A High Point for Another Division of Time (2026) by Phantom Investigations (@ino_v , @giannis_dela ), curated by Christina Petkopoulou, will be presented. The work will inhabit the permanent exhibition space of the museum (Megalou Alexandrou & I. Karaviti) from Monday, April 20 at 19:30 and will be accessible to the public during its opening hours (every Wednesday 18:00–20:00). The work A High Point for Another Division of Time (2026) is an installation consisting of a sculptural object functioning as a marble inscription of a votive nature, dedicated to the historic flood of the river that runs through the city of Florina. Archival documents, photographs, and research material are arranged in a visual flow parallel to the flow of the museum’s permanent exhibition, parallel to the flow of the river, which passes just a few meters away through the city, through yet another flow within and beyond borders, dividing and reuniting, constantly changing places and names until it ultimately converges with the unified body of water. The Palpitating Root/Η Ρίζα που Πάλλεται is unders the auspices and supported by the @minculturegr . Visual Identity: @dimitris_mitropoulos_twsj . . by @chripetko
