The Marine Corps Marathon is celebrating their 50th event this year and it’ll be my 6th straight year running this race in Washington DC.

As always, I’m running in memory of Sergeant Foster L Harrington, my former cast tech from my days during residency in Miami, Florida.

His heroic life was cut short in battle but I continue to try to keep his memory alive and support his fellow serviceman going forward.

Life is not always about the successes. It’s about the lessons learned. Nothing teaches you like failure. I received a DNF for my 100k since I couldn’t drop down to the 50k. You had to finish what you signed up for and I did not. I ended up running 33 miles instead of 62. This race at Wawayanda State Park was a beast and it beat me. The video is the rain at 4am on the way there. Slippery and dangerous throughout. These aren’t just dirt trails. 43% uphill, 41% downhills and 15% flat. 2 bad falls with the second one injuring my left hip. Hopefully it heals so I can get after it again.
