forever grateful #10 #dnm

The other day my husband asked if I’ve lived here longer than anywhere else. As a military kid, moving was just part of life new houses, new schools, new faces. I never really stayed in many places long enough to have roots that weren’t family.

Maybe that’s why photographing some of these kids means so much to me…

I have known Jacen since he was in elementary school and feel so blessed I got to capture and hang out with him for his senior portraits…

With every senior, my priority is making sure they can relax- that I can get shots and expressions that mom and dad remember from when they were little, the laugh that’s actually them and making sure they love and feel as good about their portraits as much as mom and dad does…

Jacen absolutely crushed his session. We captured him as he is right now and wove in his love for hockey so these photos feel like his story.

Feeling grateful, lucky, and pretty rooted…. 💜📸🏒
