No one’s story is ever linear.

Mine certainly isn’t.

From chasing football dreams, to coasting through uni, to partying and mistakes, finding a career in advertising, to my time in London…

…to then walking away from it all with no “plan B.”

At EVERY stage, I thought this is it.

But each time, I discovered it wasn’t.

Starting over at 28 hasn’t been easy.

I’ve had to swallow my pride, leave behind stability and face uncertainty.

But here’s what I’ve learned:
- You don’t have to have it all figured out to start.
- Choosing the wrong path is better than not choosing a path at all.
- It’s never too late to change if something isn’t serving you.

Now I’m building a life that feels more like mine.

I’m telling my story and empowering others to share theirs.

So if you’re in a season of change, feeling behind or questioning your own path…

…send me a DM or hit the link in my bio so you can start telling your own story, instead of living out someone else’s. 🗣️ by @chrisgeils

My story so far. 🙏

Your twenties are weird - you’re chasing success, climbing ladders, trying to “figure it all out” while still figuring yourself out. That was me for the last three years in London - an Aussie who moved across the world for a job in advertising and built a life from scratch. I loved it… until I didn’t. Somewhere between the promotions, perks and personal growth challenges, I started craving something more. So I made the call: quit the job, packed my life into a suitcase, and booked a one-way ticket. I’m not running away from the life that I build, just building something that finally feels like mine. by @chrisgeils

Are we being too all-or-nothing with alcohol? 🍾

I quit drinking for months and it changed everything for the better, but what surprised me more… was what I learned when I started drinking again.

This isn’t a post about quitting forever or drinking mindlessly. It’s about the grey area in between. The balance. The self-trust. The honest reflection.

…and how sometimes, growth isn’t found in the extremes, it’s learning when to say no… and when to give yourself permission to say yes.

Curious to hear your take, how has your relationship with alcohol changed over the years? Drop your thoughts below. 🍻 by @chrisgeils

Re-introducing myself and my journey so far ❤️🙏

In my 20s I did everything right, from following the conventional path of uni and work, I moved overseas alone to grow personally, climbed the corporate ladder and traveled only to leave me at 28 feeling trapped by the very life I built

I think that’s the challenge as you navigate your 20s… you do everything right with good intention and suddenly you’re approaching 30 realising you built towards a lie

Fast forward 18 months after leaving corporate I’m finally building towards a life that feels true to me. I’ve been fortunate to document my journey online and help others do the same through a business I’m deeply passionate about.

I’m 30 now and although throughout my 20s I never felt settled, I’m glad I didn’t settled. If you feel stuck by the life you’ve built, trust me, I’ve been there and just remember…

I never thought I’d say this but at 30 an ideal weekday for me looks like
1. Getting daily movement in
2. Speaking to my clients
3. Editing and posting content…

…it’s like I’ve built myself my own corporate handcuffs!

I’ve been creating content for 18 months now but up until now I’ve used my iPhone. So today I’m forcing myself to use my brand new DJI Osmo Pocket 4 and although I feel like a beginner again I’m committed to the process. I often tell my clients that ALL of my growth came from accepting that you’re a beginner and this is a small way in which I’m doing that.

So here we are documenting a very standard day living in Melbourne as I build my dream life after corporate.

PS I’ll get better at the DJI… promise!!! taken in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia by @chrisgeils

Most people aren’t unhappy with their lives. They’re unhappy with comparison.

We’re constantly measuring our reality against someone else’s highlight, without accounting for the trade-offs we don’t see.

This isn’t about settling. It’s about not chasing someone else’s reality. Because clarity beats envy… and appreciation is often the first sign you’re finally thinking for yourself. taken in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia by @chrisgeils

Being content with where you are and being excited about where you’re going CAN coexist!

Maybe that’s the balance we’re all trying to find ❤️🙏 taken in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia by @chrisgeils

At 30 what does my dream life really look like?

For most of my twenties, I was constantly chasing something. The next promotion, more money, another country, another milestone that I thought would finally make me feel successful and while I’m still incredibly ambitious, lately I’ve been learning to appreciate the smaller things.

A slow morning coffee, doing work I enjoy, having my health and the freedom to decide how I spend my days. Things that once felt like distant goals have quietly become parts of my everyday life…

…and I think that’s the strange thing about having ambitions. We’re so quick to move our goalposts that we forget to appreciate how far we’ve already come.

Building your dream life isn’t just about chasing what’s next, but learning to recognise what’s already here 🙏❤️ taken in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia by @chrisgeils

My story so far 🙏❤️

I never fully settled in my 20’s; I partied like most did in their early years, I moved abroad solo at 25, I eventually left the corporate path to pursue entrepreneurship, and they were all risks I took in search of discovering a life of more meaning.

This isn’t to say that I’ve “made it”, but now at 30 I can finally say I’m building toward a life that’s truly mine…

…and so can you!

Learning to tell my story on this platform changed my life and I’m continuing to document this journey so that I can inspire as many of you to do the same!

If you’re new here, hi I’m @chrisgeils
