I’m so grateful that, starting Friday, we can debut the Anniversary Replay of our 3rd show with my longtime pal, @henrydiltz. He has so many great stories to share, and at 88 years old, he continues to take wonderful photos, and travels the world with his fantastic slideshow and storytelling experience. 47 years ago, Connie and I were blessed to have Henry as our guest and wedding photographer.

My one and only album with The Hillmen—Don Parmley, Vern, and Rex Gosdin—was recorded around the same time as the 2nd album for Henry Diltz’ group, The Modern Folk Quartet: 1963-64. I’ll never forget the first time I saw them at The Troubadour in 1963. Henry was so good… holding it down with his pure tenor voice and great long neck banjo. Join us Friday, Sept. 18, for the Anniversary Replay of Part 1 of my conversation with the amazing musician, singer, historian, and of course, photographer, @henrydiltz.

📣BREAKING NEWS: Chris Hillman is launching a new SiriusXM show, Three Finger Breakdown, honoring the Bluegrass music that first inspired him and became a foundation for his vital contributions to the 1960s Country Rock revolution.

Premiering tomorrow, Sept 3, this is Chris’s 2nd SiriusXM show, following the success of Chris Hillman’s Burrito Stand, which has been running for 3 years. Three Finger Breakdown will be simultaneously broadcast on two channels, @dwightyoakam & The Bakersfield Beat (349) and Bluegrass Junction (65).

The debut show will feature the music from a host of Bluegrass pioneers including Flatt & Scruggs, Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin, The New Lost City Ramblers, The Country Gentlemen and The Stanley Brothers. Each episode will run for 1 hour and premiere on the 1st Thursday of the month with replays to follow. September airdates are:
