Portraits of @josiahwg from @sonyalpha #SonyKandoTrip this week in Stowe, Vermont.

One of my favorite things about the Sony community is the people. It’s such a rich mix of photographers and filmmakers who are wildly talented, yet humble, kind and generous.

Josiah is one of those people. He approaches both life and his craft with so much depth and thoughtfulness and his work is truly otherworldly.

Stay Stoked.

As I look back over my life, I realize how much this simple motto has shaped the way I try to live.

To me, staying stoked is a choice. A choice to stay optimistic and hopeful, to look for the light, and to leave room for what Mary Oliver called “the unimaginable.”

I’m so grateful for the way photography has helped me practice this. A camera has taught me to look for the light, to pay attention, to stay curious, and to connect with so many incredible people along the way.

Here’s to staying stoked, looking for the light, and remaining open to what might be possible by @chrisorwig
