Friendly reminder and public service announcement - your AI generated poster looks awful and is actively putting off customers. It’s confusing and makes it seem like you cut corners.

No one is saying you have to hire artists for every single poster your business makes - but what did you do before AI? I genuinely miss the days of a Clip art Microsoft Word document stuck to the side of a cafe..

We didn’t know how good we had it..

How are all these apps like, awful? I don’t just mean awful in that they’re slowly killing us and the planet (which is great, fantastic, very happy to be trapped in a world where we’re basically forced to use them) - I mean awful as in they’re just built terribly. My Spotify has started recommending me podcasts in Mandarin, my YouTube app plays the sound from one video over the video I clicked on. Instagram recommends me people that I have absolutely nothing, zero, zilch in common with. What is going on?

Clocking off after my 5am to 7pm dad shift, shovelling some dinner into my mouth and then starting my 7pm to 10pm artist shift is…tough. But it was also tough when I worked a 9-5 too.

I mean, it’s still infinitely better than being a nepo baby and having everything given to you. The art that people make when they have to not only work hard but experience life in all its forms - planning paintings on the bus home, writing songs in your lunch break, that art is always so much better than the soulless slop that rich people pump out. That being said, I wouldn’t be against winning the lottery anytime soon..
