Happy 10th year anniversary, @emyafrica. I really enjoyed the two-day high-level events. The @londonschoolofeconomics
Symposium was invaluable, with great panellists from different disciplines and industries - having a balanced perspective, the networking segments allowed great connections and engagements.

The soireee was again a great experience for all the guests, I loved the theme, good food, and welcoming hospitality. You really made us all feel special. ❤️ 🇨🇩

Thank you, Nuria, and the entire team for curating such impactful events that not only added value but also celebrated the incredible work being done across Africa!

Purpose and discussion framework |

The parliamentary dialogue was organised around three connected themes: identity and belonging; opportunity through education, skills, innovation, trade and investment; and shared responsibility for practical institutional and diaspora-led action. Its purpose was to move beyond expressions of solidarity towards stronger relationships and concrete pathways for young people and diaspora professionals.

The event took place at 1 Parliament Square, within the parliamentary offices of British Ministers and MPs. This historic occasion was monumental, marking the first formal convening to announce that Think Tank Minzoto, the British Diaspora, and friends of the DRC are in full operation.

Act 1. Think Tank Minzoto presidential programme International Launch!!

We are honoured to set a new precedence in the UK for the British Congolese Diaspora. On Tuesday 27th October 2026, the @thinktank.minzoto UK Chapter convened for dialogue at Parliament Westminster to formally introduce the first Think Tank for the social and economic transformation of Congolese people in the UK, globally, and in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

As the Global Coordinator and UK Country Representative, the responsibility entrusted to me by leaders, peers, and collaborators was to deliver an institution that allows us to self-actualise globally - a space for reflection, dialogue, innovation, identity, and cooperation - and that is exactly what we have been able to achieve.

Congratulations to @mlaini13, who chaired an enriching discussion and set a welcoming and informative tone. [See next post]

Thank you to my stylist @nokoaoki_ for creating a fantastic look that was perfect for the occasion and my role. I felt confident and structured, which truly added to my confidence.

SHAPING THE COMPETITIVE FUTURE OF THE DRC

PARLIAMENTARY ROUNDTABLE

Identity, Opportunities, and Shared Responsibility: The new generation at the heart of UK–DRC relations

The MINZOTO Think Tank brings together young British people of Congolese descent, diaspora actors, and institutional representatives at the British Parliament for an intergenerational dialogue dedicated to the evolution of relations between the United Kingdom and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Structured around three complementary themes — Identity, Opportunities, and Shared Responsibility — this dialogue will address issues of belonging and representation, access to education, entrepreneurship, and leadership prospects, as well as the role of youth in strengthening relations between the UK and the DRC.

The discussions will explore how British and Congolese institutions, communities, and the new generation can work together to foster active participation, develop shared opportunities, and build sustainable bilateral cooperation, thereby contributing to the future competitiveness of the DRC.

🇨🇩🇬🇧 THINK TANK MINZOTO: INTERNATIONAL LAUNCH | LONDON 2026 @thinktank.minzoto 👑

This October, London becomes the meeting point between the Democratic Republic of the Congo, its global diaspora and the institutions shaping its future.

From 26–28 October 2026, the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the United Kingdom, in partnership with CAF Advisory, will host the International Launch of Think Tank Minzoto, a programme founded by Dr Chantal Yelu Mulop Special Advisor to the President in Charge of Youth, Gender, and Violence against Women and Human Trafficking. Think Tank Minzoto is a platform dedicated to mobilising Congolese youth, professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs and the diaspora around a shared ambition: to transform talent, knowledge and expertise into practical solutions and opportunities for the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Under the theme “Shaping the DRC’s Competitive Future,” the three-day programme will bring together government representatives, policymakers, parliamentarians, investors, business leaders, young people and members of the Congolese diaspora around one central question:

How do we transform the talent, knowledge, networks and potential of a generation into lasting value for the Democratic Republic of the Congo?

The programme will move across policy and institutional engagement, UK–DRC parliamentary dialogue, and culminate on 28 October with the International Launch & Diaspora Forum in London.

For a generation that has too often engaged with Congo from a distance, this is an invitation to move from connection to contribution, from potential to participation, and from diaspora presence to national impact.

26–28 October 2026
London, United Kingdom
