FEATURE 013 — Christopher Soukup
@christopher_soukup

Through his work, Christopher explores the tension between familiar domestic settings and eerie isolation. His scenes feel like stills from a film, prompting viewers to create their own narratives.

In his words: “I am a photographer based in San Francisco. Much of my work is in and around the bay area. I am interested in making images that speak to the emotional temperature of the moment, how it feels to be in that space. More specifically along the thin boundary between something calm and something more uncertain, allowing the viewer to linger long enough for the image to change as they look.” by @christopher_soukup

It was six years ago today that San Francisco turned into a dystopian reality straight from Blade Runner. All of these were shot in my neighborhood during the middle of the day. A mix of smoke and low level fog lingered for almost the entirety of the day. I’ve shared many before but have added a few new images as well by @christopher_soukup
