POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Today would have been thirty-nine years of marriage. Looking at these wedding photos, I smile at how little we knew. We stood before God, full of hope, making promises for a future we imagined, while He already knew every chapter. His version far exceeded all I could have ever envisioned. Brian was one of God’s greatest gifts to my life. I’m so grateful for the years we shared. Four and a half years ago, the Lord called him home. I would never have written this story, but I’ve learned His ways really are higher, and His wisdom has never failed me. I don’t just celebrate a marriage today. I celebrate the faithfulness of God. He was faithful when we said our vows, faithful through every year we were given and faithful still. Thank you, Lord, for Brian, for every year, and for your perfect care.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.”

We launched our very first Brave Love retreat 🥹 this is something i’ve carried in my heart for a long time, and it was my first visit back to England in ten years! The second slide is the church I attended while doing a semester in London forty years ago — John Stott’s church! Absolutely astonished by the caliber of women I got to know from all over the UK and so confirmed in what one weekend of saturating women’s hearts in the Brave Love message can do! by @christybrennt

Obedience to God can build movements bigger than we can imagine.

The Brennt family’s yes to reaching a generation continues today as the gospel is preached across cities, campuses, and nations.

What began in a garage is now a global

Many of you know our beloved Kasie —wife, mom, worship leader, and missionary with Circuit Riders. She was dramatically healed from Juvenile RA in 2020, but after a battle with COVID, she began experiencing intense pain again. She’s now facing psoriatic arthritis and is in more pain than ever before.

Kasie is stepping into a promising treatment, and we’re believing for full healing again! As a missionary family, her and my son Spencer, live by faith, and this treatment comes at a cost.

If you feel led, would you consider giving toward her medical expenses and standing with us in prayer? Every gift matters deeply! Thank you for loving and supporting her!

Shirley Jean McGee
March 14, 1941- March 1, 2025

This is my Mom, Shirley.  After a long health battle, she went to be with Jesus this last week.  In the early 60’s, my Mom and Dad lived in East Portland.  Around that time, a neighborhood Baptist Church sent congregants door to door to invite their neighbors to Church.  After a brief visit, my Mom went to her bookshelf to find her Bible.  Upon discovering it, tears fill her eyes at the sight of its dusty surface.  From that day on, she embarked on a full-on and lifelong pursuit of Jesus.  Her resume of exploits is long, but the real treasure is that my Mom started a legacy of radical Jesus lovers that day.
She led a Chapter of the Christian Women’s Club in the ‘70s and, with my Dad, Bert, led over 30 ten-week Alpha classes.  She was the real pioneer in our family who planted seeds of truth that will continue to bear fruit for generations.
I am so grateful for this legacy woman who gave me life, friendship and along with so many others such a rich inheritance in the Lord. Pictures 1. Shirley at 17. 2. Bert and Shirley in 1959. 3.The beginning of Shirleys professional painting career. 4. In 1987 I had picked a dream Wedding dress from a magazine. We found a clearance dress and my Mom assured me we could transform it. This picture was taken one morning when I woke up to find my Mom had been sewing beads on the bodice throughout the whole night. 5. Shirley with Chloe by @christybrennt

It is God who raises you, God who causes you to stand, God who establishes you, and it is His heart that God gives you. It is from His hand for this hour.

All it takes is a step of faith in the direction He is calling you. Seize a hold of this calling and enter into it. Nothing stands in your way.

He will remove the obstacles and part the red sea as you move forward in obedience.

“The spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free…” (Luke 4:18 NIV). by @christybrennt

Brave Love says, “my hands for His heart.”

(In reference to Judges 4-5 in the Bible) There is a connection between the father‘s heart and the hands of Deborah. She was so in tune and easily accessible to the burdens of God over the nation that it was an effortless step to extend her hands to meet the need. Love sees the need. Deborah saw the need not only with her physical eyes, but she also saw through the eyes of her father and it pierced her heart. Love extends its heart. Love repeats. Deborah’s story is a testament to the power of love. She faced need after need as she functioned as a prophetess and judge. She saw the state of people beyond their situation, and her heart was deeply affected.

God isn’t looking for perfection, He’s looking for a surrendered heart💙 by @christybrennt
