January 9th, 2020,
I had a minimally invasive laparoscopic procedure with Dr. Camran Nezhat to determine if I did in fact have Endometriosis. For those that aren’t familiar on this horrible chronic inflammatory whole body disease; Endometriosis is when tissue that is similar but NOT the same to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it and creates lesions, scar tissue and adhesions and starts to fuse your organs together. If left untreated it can lead to extreme health concerns and can potentially cause “frozen pelvis” among other things.

Despite being told I have a 95% chance of having it, there is no way to tell except for through an exploratory laparoscopy.
Over the last 4 years I’ve had several MRIs, CT Scans, Ultrasounds, Endoscopies Colonoscopies .. you get the point. He told me back in 2018 “This is not PCOS.. this is Endometriosis.”
Preparing for this was not easy.. you have to take 2 medications, one to soften your cervix because “exploratory” means they take a scope and look inside your bladder, inside your vagina/uterus and inside your rectum/colon. I had unpleasant side effects to this medication. Then in the morning I had to take a pill to turn my urine orange. After a long awaited 2 years of desperately needing this surgery;
I am 1 in 10 🌻
I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Deep Infiltrative Endometriosis.
The doctor said it was everywhere inside my peritoneum
including on the surface of my Uterus, Bladder, Bowel with Deep Infiltrative Endometriosis in the recto vaginal septum, On my utero sacral ligaments and my Franken-Hauser-Plexus, calcified hardened endometriosis on my ureters; just so so many places.
I’m in disbelief.
I’m so thankful that I’ve had the ability to have met such an amazing doctor. People from all over the world come for his expertise and knowledge “Camran Nezhat, MD is the best and most experienced endometriosis surgeon specialist in the world and has performed more endometriosis surgeries

Endometriosis is a chronic whole body inflammatory disease.. it disrupts our anatomy 😭

Not only does it disrupt your physical anatomy but it also can cause infertility, immense pain and affects your quality of life.
Why is it that when you cry for help all you hear are echos?
I need another surgery.. with a skilled specialist and due to not having “good insurance” I’m being denied accessible care. I can’t just see someone who has only done a handful of these surgeries or is only an OBGYN. I need expert level care.. WE NEED EXPERT LEVEL CARE 💛

When I got the text from dad yesterday
.. I already had a feeling.. the worst feeling someone can imagine. The loss of a loved one.
When he told me it was you I broke down immediately.
I feel so bad I never got a chance to come see you in person. But I’m so glad we were able to FaceTime and talk on the phone.
You got to hold your first great grandson Jayden August 2021 but never got the chance to hold Keylan due to distance which made me so sad because I know you would’ve adored him 🥺 but you were always a ft or call away which we did a few times and I wish I did that more.. I miss you beyond words and I will tell my boys all about you. They know GG loved them so much !! I have voice recordings of you I’ll keep forever. A few of the best Happy Birthday Voicemails and your reaction to when I told you you were going to be a great grandma ❤️

I still sing them your song you sang to me as a little girl “sweet dreams place”
You had such a beautiful and soothing voice.
I will miss our talks.. this doesn’t feel real.. It hasn’t set in yet.

THANK YOU for following me on my journey to healing my gut and whatever else decides to follow 💖

I’ve been chronically ill for 11 years this month which is extremely bittersweet.

I’ve canceled plans, slept 15 hours, thrown up an entire day, could not move my bowels, stomach paralysis, organs fused together, weight loss, miracle pregnancies, racing heart, palpitations, blood pooling, sepsis, mold toxicity (ochratoxin A), joint dislocations, infections, alcohol intolerance, rashes, antibiotic reactions, MCAS like symptoms, bleeding disorders, inflammation, surgeries, iron storage at a 4 (Extremely low ferritin).. I’m sure I’m leaving out some.

I’ve been through so much and if you’re on this journey as well just remember you’re not alone! 💕
