✨ BIG NEWS & A NEW CHAPTER! ✨

I’m so excited to officially share that I’ve joined Experior Financial Group!

For those who don’t know exactly what I do, I’m a Licensed Insurance Advisor, but what I can help with goes far beyond just insurance.

I work with individuals, couples and families to help them better understand their options, protect what they’re building and work toward a stronger financial future.

Through my brokerage and network, I can help with:

 ✨ Retirement planning
✨ Debt consolidation & reduction strategies

One of the biggest reasons I made this change was the opportunity to continue growing, learning and expanding my knowledge within the industry. I’m excited to work alongside a new team, explore new opportunities and continue building a career that I’m incredibly passionate about.

I know finances can feel overwhelming, confusing or like something we’ll “deal with later.” My goal is to make these conversations simple, comfortable and educational, without judgment or pressure.

And if you already have insurance or someone helping with your finances, that’s completely okay!
Complimentary second opinions and reviews are always welcome.

Sometimes everything is exactly where it should be, and sometimes a fresh set of eyes can help you discover options you didn’t know were available.

I’m SO excited about this next chapter, everything I’ll continue to learn, and all the people and families I’ll have the opportunity to help along the way.

🍂🤎 18 weeks + 2 days of growing our newest little adventure buddy! 🤎🍂

Winnie and I have always shared a special love for our adventures together, especially this time of year. There's just something so magical about fall. The crisp air, colourful leaves, peaceful trails, and the beauty of watching the seasons change. 🍁🐾

Over the years, we've made so many beautiful memories exploring together, and now my heart is bursting knowing that soon we'll have one more little adventurer joining us. 🥹💕

Next fall, our hikes will look a little different. There will be a little girl bundled up alongside us, tiny hands reaching for colourful leaves, and a whole new world of firsts to experience together. The trails we've walked a hundred times will somehow feel brand new again because we'll get to see them through her eyes.

I can't wait to teach our daughter to appreciate the little things in life. The beauty of nature, the magic in every season, the joy of exploring, and the happiness that comes from simply being outside with those you love.

And of course, I have no doubt Winnie is going to be the proudest big brother and the best little adventure companion a girl could ask for. 🐶💗

Most of these adventures have always been just Winnie and me, but today Daddy came along and captured a moment I'll treasure forever. One day, we'll get to show our little girl this photo and tell her about all the adventures we were dreaming of sharing with her before she was even born. 🍂🤍

This fall, we're growing together. Next fall, we'll be exploring together.

Our sweetest adventure is still to come, baby girl. We already love you more than words can say.

Summer 2026 ☀️🌿 the highs, the lows & everything in between.

This summer was nothing like we expected it to be.

There was a lot of heartbreak. We said goodbye to Eric's mom, and some of these photos hold memories from an incredibly difficult time for our family. 🤍 My health also threw more complications our way, changing plans and forcing me to slow down more than I wanted to.

In a lot of ways, this summer felt like a bit of a write-off.

But looking back through my camera roll, I realized that isn't the whole story.

There were still camping trips, beach days, e-bike rides, time on the water, backyard movie nights, family dinners, friends, quiet moments outside and days where we simply made the most of what we had.

And then, right in the middle of everything, came the biggest and most unexpected high of all… two little lines. 🥹🩷

Life has a strange way of holding grief and joy at the exact same time. This summer reminded me that even during some of our hardest seasons, there can still be moments worth holding onto.

It wasn't the carefree summer we imagined. It was messy, emotional, beautiful, heartbreaking and life-changing all at once.

The summer we said goodbye to someone we loved, while finding out we were about to welcome someone new. 🤍🩷

Definitely one we'll never forget. by @chronicallypositivewithlyme

Lyme disease + pregnancy 🤍

For over 10 years, one of the biggest questions surrounding my health was whether becoming a mom would ever safely be possible.

After years of treatment for chronic Lyme disease and co-infections, my goal was to reach remission before pregnancy, and thankfully, I did. 🤍

Something I will never take for granted.
But remission doesn't mean every concern disappears.

Lyme bacteria have been documented crossing the placenta during pregnancy, although there is still a lot we don't fully understand about congenital transmission or the individual level of risk. Because of my history, this has always been one of my biggest fears about pregnancy.

From the moment I found out I was pregnant, I've worked closely with my Lyme doctor and pregnancy team. I stopped treatments that weren't appropriate during pregnancy and transitioned to a carefully selected pregnancy-safe supportive protocol. My doctor and I have also discussed pregnancy-safe antibiotics later in pregnancy and a specific herb through out pregnancy called Crysanthemum flower as part of my individualized care plan.

This is MY personal treatment plan based on my medical history, not medical advice.

For years, I was fighting to get my own body well. Now every appointment, decision and precaution has an entirely different purpose: protecting our baby girl. 🎀

I'm sharing this because many people who follow my journey also live with Lyme and co-infections, and congenital Lyme is something many people have never even heard about.

There are still unknowns, and that can be scary. But I'm incredibly grateful to be entering motherhood in remission, surrounded by medical professionals and doing everything within my control to give our daughter the safest possible start.

After everything it took to get here, I still can't believe I get to say this:
I'm carrying our little girl. 🤍

Same fighter. Bigger purpose. 🎀 by @chronicallypositivewithlyme

A little health update on this new chapter 🤍

When we announced our pregnancy, I briefly mentioned having a connective tissue disorder along with several structural and vascular issues. At the time, I was still waiting for answers.

After multiple specialists, testing and follow-ups, I finally have some.

My rheumatologist has now told me that after ruling out the other types of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and other possible causes, my history and symptoms are consistent with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS). I've been referred to the specialized EDS clinic for formal assessment, although the wait is unfortunately around two years.

It's a difficult answer, but it also makes SO much of my health history finally make sense.

After years battling chronic Lyme disease and co-infections, I was incredibly grateful to reach remission, yet I was still left with POTS, joint/spinal instability, structural issues, pain and other health problems that Lyme remission didn't explain.

Then came a full tear in my right hip, a meniscus tear in my knee, worsening degeneration/disc issues in my lower spine and vascular thoracic outlet syndrome affecting both arms. I'v now met with surgeons, and surgeries are in my future, but they've been postponed until after our baby girl arrives. 🎀

Pregnancy has unfortunately increased my existing instability, especially in my upper cervical spine, causing some pretty debilitating symptoms.

Because of my history and the additional considerations hEDS can bring to pregnancy and birth, my rheumatologist is now referring me to Maternal-Fetal Medicine to work alongside my OB and pregnancy team.

One of the hardest parts is knowing hEDS can be inherited, meaning our baby girl could potentially inherit it too. 🤍 If she ever does show signs, though, she'll have something I didn't for years, early awareness and parents ready to advocate for her.

Lyme and co-infections add another layer to this pregnancy, including concerns around congenital transmission. I'll share more about that and my care plan in a separate post.

There is a lot happening behind these happy pregnancy photos, but there is still so much more joy than fear. by @chronicallypositivewithlyme

Our biggest little secret… 🩷🎀

We still can't quite believe we finally get to say this…

WE'RE HAVING A BABY GIRL!!! 🥹🩷

To say we're excited doesn't even begin to cover it. We are absolutely over the moon, incredibly grateful, and feeling more blessed than we could ever put into words.

I've dreamed of becoming a mom since I was a little girl. I've always believed that having a child and getting the privilege of being someone's parent is one of the greatest gifts in this life, to love someone so completely, watch them grow, guide them, and build a family together.

For more than 10 years, though, I genuinely didn't know if this would ever be possible for me.

After years of fighting Lyme and other infections, a connective tissue disorder, significant structural issues/injuries and chronic pain, pregnancy was something I wasn't sure my body would ever be able to do.

So finding out brought the biggest joy, but also some very real fears. We know this journey may not always be easy, but my doctors believe my body is capable of doing this.

And so do I. ❤️

I don't think I've ever been more proud of my body. For years it was easy to focus on everything it couldn't do and everything illness had taken from me.

But look at her now. 🥹

After more than a decade of fighting, healing and rebuilding, this same body is growing our daughter. 🩷

And I couldn't ask for a better person beside me through all of it. Eric has loved me through some incredibly difficult chapters, and I know he is going to be the most amazing dad to her. Knowing he is the man I get to raise our daughter with makes my heart so full.

For those who have followed my health journey, I will share more about this side of pregnancy too, our additional care, precautions, risks, birth considerations and what my medical team and I are doing to navigate my unique situation. There is so much more to that story, and I'll share it in the future.

But today isn't about that. Today is about HER. 🩷

The little girl we already love beyond words.

And the little girl making one of my greatest lifelong dreams come true…

I get to be her mom. 🥹🎀

Baby girl, we cannot wait to meet you. 🩷 by @chronicallypositivewithlyme

I feel this in my soul deeply.

And don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful for technology. It has done some incredible things and made parts of life so much easier. But I genuinely miss when things were simple and authentic. FACE-TO-FACE / HUMAN.

When you could call a business and a HUMAN answered the phone. When you could walk into a restaurant and just read a menu. When buying something didn’t require downloading an app, creating an account, confirming your email, entering a verification code and somehow ending up subscribed to something. 😂

I don’t need my fridge, lightbulbs, car, watch, vacuum and toaster all connected to Wi-Fi. I don’t want another app. I don’t want another password. And sometimes I just want to speak to an actual person instead of yelling “REPRESENTATIVE” at a robot 14 times just to be told "sorry I don't understand."😩😂

And don’t even get me started on how much wireless radiation we’re surrounded by now. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cell towers, smart devices, 24/7 exposure that simply didn’t exist at this level for previous generations. Regardless of where you stand on the long-term health debate, I don’t understand why EVERY appliance in my home needs to emit a signal or connect to Wi-Fi. More exposure and more connectivity just for the sake of making something “smart”? No thank you. 😂

Technology was supposed to make life easier, but sometimes it feels like we’ve complicated the simplest things in the name of “convenience.”

There are SO many incredible things about the world evolving, and I’m certainly not against progress. I just wish we could keep some of the human connection, simplicity and balance along the way.

Not everything needs an app.
Not everything needs an account.
Not everything needs Wi-Fi.
Not everything needs to be “smart.”

Sometimes simple was better. ❤️

This is my story.

For over 15 years, I was diagnosed with one condition after another.

POTS. Chronic Lyme & co-infections. Cervical instability. Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. Migraines. TMJ. Spine degeneration. Scoliosis that developed in adulthood. Joint injuries. Autonomic dysfunction... and so much more.

The diagnoses were real.

What was missing was anyone asking why they were all happening together.

For me, the answer wasn't another diagnosis, it was my upper cervical spine.

Being born hypermobile in some joints, combined with years of loose connective tissue from Lyme, multiple neck injuries (including whiplash, a fractured neck, and several concussions), all appear to have contributed to instability in my upper cervical spine. As that instability progressed, my nervous system and the rest of my body seemed to unravel with it. Even my spine continued to change, with scoliosis developing later in adulthood.

Instead of connecting the dots, I was sent from specialist to specialist, each treating a different diagnosis while the bigger picture was being missed.

It wasn't until I travelled to the United States and underwent specialized upper cervical imaging, imaging I couldn't access here, that I finally felt someone was looking for the root cause instead of just another diagnosis.

I'm not saying this is everyone's story. I'm sharing my story because someone out there may be collecting diagnoses while the underlying problem remains overlooked like mine was. With both my neck and my tick born infections.

Keep asking questions.
Keep advocating for yourself.
Don't be afraid to seek another opinion when the pieces don't seem to fit.
Sometimes the answer isn't another diagnosis.

Sometimes it's finally finding the thread that connects them all. ❤️
