Hand-shaping the movement bridge for the CHRONOTHEORY & Co. AV-98.

After the shape is modified and the edges are beveled, the surface is polished to a perfectly flat finish and adorned with a semi-circular Côtes de Genève pattern.

This is the stage requiring the utmost care from the watchmaker; if the surface preparation is imperfect, the bridge becomes unusable, necessitating a restart of the entire process. by @chronotheory

The movement finishing of the CHRONOTHEORY&Co AV-98 draws its inspiration not from modern wristwatches, but from pocket watches of a century ago.

Consequently, the gear spokes are finished by hand with chamfering and the creation of defined inner angles.
This same meticulous work is applied even to the spokes of the 3rd and 4th wheels, which remain hidden beneath the bridges.

We do not intentionally limit production numbers.
The reality is that, even with a watchmaker working full-time on production, it takes two and a half months to complete a single timepiece. by @chronotheory

I traveled to LA to personally deliver the CHRONOTHEORY&Co AV-98 Piano Forte Black to Shawn Stockman, an artist I have long admired.

Boyz II Men’s music is widely listened to in Japan, and as a huge fan myself, I was surprised to receive a DM from him long before the lottery sale even began.
However, after actually meeting him and hearing about his experiences and philosophy, I found myself deeply resonating with him.

Having worked in composition and track-making myself, I know that neither music creation nor watchmaking is a solitary endeavor; both involve carrying on a culture built by those who came before us while adding one’s own unique evolution.
Above all, the most important thing is to pour one’s soul into the work.
It brings me immense joy to see a creation born of this process embraced and enjoyed in a foreign land across the ocean.

Finally, witnessing Shawn’s warm personality during this delivery made it an unforgettable day in my life.
