Last month was #ovariancancerawarenessmonth and I celebrated 25 years as a two time ovarian cancer survivor. I was honored to be the featured survivor speaker for a second year. There were new faces, returning faces as well as some missing faces. The loss of our Teal Sisters can weigh heavy on Survivors at times. The love and support of our families and communities help reduce that weight. I want to thank everyone who has loved and supported me through out my journey and will continue to use my voice to raise awareness. 💙 by @chubby_unicorn_13

🎥 This is more than an interview. It’s a conversation that could help save a life. 🩵🦋🩵

I’m excited to share the extended version of my NBC 5 Talk Street interview—a deeper conversation about ovarian cancer, the signs and symptoms we should ALL know, and why awareness matters long after September ends.

I had the honor of sitting alongside my friend and ovarian cancer survivor @chubby_unicorn_13, Shannon Dasch, as she shared part of her story. Every time a survivor uses her voice, she gives another woman the opportunity to recognize a symptom, ask a question, advocate for herself, or simply know that she isn’t alone.

That is why I do this work.

As Central Regional Manager for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, I have the privilege of connecting survivors, caregivers, and families with FREE programs, resources, education, and support—but we can only help people who know we’re here.

Taking the mission to the airwaves! 🎥🩵🦋

What a special experience sitting down with NBC 5’s Talk Street to talk about a mission that is so close to my heart—the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition—and our upcoming Dallas Together in TEAL® 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk on September 26!

It was especially meaningful to sit alongside my friend @chubby_unicorn_13 as she shared her personal journey with ovarian cancer. Her strength, resilience, and willingness to share her story are powerful reminders of WHY we do this work. 🩵

A HUGE shoutout to my friend @brittyoureon for making this all happen and giving us the opportunity to shine a light on ovarian cancer awareness and the FREE programs and services NOCC provides to survivors, caregivers, and families.

Every opportunity to share our mission is another opportunity to educate, raise awareness, amplify the voices of those impacted by ovarian cancer, and reach someone who may need us. 🩵
