‼️Ok quick life update:‼️Tuesday I got a sweet trail ride in with @thehagasaki (welcome back, Chad!), got some great chats and a good ride. Got real salty. Got a quick nap in(thank God) before Hannah called me from her midwife appointment.Time to toss the hospital bags in the van and get down there!Moved into the hospital on Tuesday afternoon for a very antsy, nervous couple of days. I thought race nerves were rough! Lots of patients in the hospital but I felt like the primary impatient. Made a strong effort to eat all the hospital’s saltine crackers and drink all their coffee, built my Lego dragon at 2am, then -finally- the moment arrivedWe welcomed our little girl, Olivette, into the world early on the morning of July 2nd! 🎉Stayed for a couple more days before heading home on my favorite ever 4th of July. The ol’ US of A turning old is cool and all but it doesn’t hold a firecracker to bringing my Olivette home!🥰🎆Getting to support Hannah through labor was such an incredible experience! I’ve always had a healthy respect and fear of moms but, good Lord, I only saw the tip of an iceberg. I understand slightly more now. Elite endurance athletes are my jam but moms are a whole different level. Superhuman.So excited for this new layer to the life adventure. An aspect of God’s love that I have always cherished above the others is that of a child receiving their father’s love. The aspect of the Father’s love given to a child is something I’ve desperately wanted to understand more.To follow the Archetype in the footsteps of my dad in this grand and silly human narrative is my best bet to catching a glimpse of that love. I’ve come to believe that all my days are allegory for my benefit and others’ simply to better understand and emulate a splinter of that love.All I’ve learned in the last few days is that I’m not enough to hold or comprehend my love for just my wiggly-bug, Olivette. This journey is going to utterly crush me in all the best ways.Anyway, tired brain make for many word. Welcome to the world, my little Olivette, I can’t wait to see the beauty you cause here. ❤️ by @chucktnorris

Last race trip of the foreseeable future! The rest has yet to be foreseen… Great to race one of my favorite venues and this time redesigned for the upcoming World Cup 👀👀Pretty disappointed on the racing side honestly. Couldn’t find my legs in XCC then just started to find my legs as the XCO was cut short for lightning 😕 oh well.Overall it was a great trip with the @hart_cycling squad! Got the thumbs up for one more race trip before Baby Time™️ 💪☝️🚼Hopping in the van tomorrow for the last @uscupmtb race in Soldier Hollow, Utah with the @hart_cycling squad! Looking forward to throwing down at one of my favorite venues before my entire reality gets flipped upside down real quick! Couldn’t be more ready. Also couldn’t be less ready. Bromance post 😍😘If you’re ever wondering why Sam and I act like an old married couple… well, we’ve been racing together for a decade now 🤯👴🏻We officially met at a USAC talent ID camp June, 2016 back when Sam looked like a child and I had more facial hair than I do now. We’ve been battling it out on the race course since then and eventually started a team together in 2021.Kinda crazy just how much life we’ve been through since then. Both married now(to women, not pictured), bike racing highs and lows aplenty. It’s all an adventure! Here’s to another decade of going fast @sambot98 #happyanniversary #bromance by @chucktnorris

Canmore Canada Cup 🇨🇦🤘Great to squeeze in one more Continental Series before Baby Time. As always, Canmore was a HARD course in all the best ways. Good for the skills and nowhere to hide! I had to check the stability of one tree on a single track section, contemplated its admirable immovability as I remembered how to breathe in the meadow nearby. Wrapped it up in 20th! A few more points to buffer the big ‘27.So good to hang with the whole team in such a beautiful area! This trip is always a favorite all around.
