Sometimes I just need to get away to have space to think and feel inspired. Living life is such an important part of being creative, the world is so special and beautiful and the moment I stop living I hit a wall.. I’m lucky Sofia loves to adventure as much as I do so we try to take time to see the world as much as we can, the colours the architecture the people the stories the experiences they are everything to me, so much of what I do comes from a drive along a road where I have time to think, silence away from the craziness of daily life and there I find the magic! Here are some moments I thought were pretty beautiful along with a few mandatory pics with Juno 💛💛 by @cianducrot

THE END ❤️ thanks for a year of absolutely mental magical shows! I will go home now and get back to this new record. It’s been a beautiful and emotional journey so far but there’s much left to do. I’m writing this whole record 100% by myself and am taking my time to make sure I do it justice. So until then, farewell for now, thanks for changing my life every single day! I love you xx Cian x

The DreamShip Tour BTS is out on Youtube. Looking back on this footage and remembering all the moments shown here but also all the moments we didn’t capture fills my heart with so much joy. It’s hard to express in any words what you guys mean to me and what touring and music means to me so I try to just leave it all on the stage for you guys. Every night I gave everything I had, I performed every show like it was the only show and sometimes that wrecked me but it made me feel so alive. I love you so much, watching this back makes me feel so connected to you all and I struggle to believe that my songs about things I deal with in my life have connected with so many thousands of people around the world. I feel so lucky to do this. I feel so lucky to have you. Thank you for all the magical memories. I can’t wait to come back in Ireland with this show for one last time.

When I was 19 I auditioned for the Royal Academy of Music in London to study classical music. I remember people around me at the time telling me I should audition for multiple conservatoires just incase I don’t get in but I had no interest in going anywhere else because that was the level I felt I would need to make a career. More than that I just really believed I could get in… Maybe it was being foolish and naive but it worked..
On the day of my audition I was blessed enough to be offered a place at the school and a full scholarship on the spot!! A dream come true!! I spent 2 years at the Academy but after my second year I felt it was time for me to leave, so I dropped out… I knew I needed to pursue my calling to be an artist and felt that being at academy was a safety net I couldn’t allow myself anymore. Leaving was tough, for the first time in my life I was saying goodbye to classical music, to my scholarship and to London. I had to move back in with my parents in Ireland.. When I got back to London I slept on friends floors and sofas and would busk every day on Oxford street. I got jobs in bars, cafes, restaurants, handed out flyers for kebab shops, I did anything I could to survive. Strangers helped me out of the kindness of their hearts and real friends showed up. I remember hearing from friends at academy that other people there were laughing at me saying I was making a huge mistake and throwing my life away…
A few weeks ago I was invited back to the Academy to be honoured with an Associateship of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM). It meant the world to be recognised, especially as a drop-out, by this prestigious institution for following my gut and my dreams. I had left there without anything to show for my time there, and so being honoured now with this Associateship means a hell of a lot.
All of this to say, you never know where life will take you, sometimes your path is unusual and often people will laugh and judge when they don’t understand you but that doesn’t mean they are right, never give up on yourself and never let other people’s interpretation of you determine what you can achieve! ABSOLUTELY BUZZED to hit the road again this summer across Ireland for my final shows of this tour!!🇮🇪 nothing like playing at home to the best crowds in the world 💛💛 Looking at these photos makes me feel so lucky to have had such an incredible tour so far and I can’t wait to continue these final shows with you guys! Might even have to play some new music! final tickets on sale now!! X
