And the other DP is Levi Kanter. About the short: This short film follows Louis and Vanessa, two best friends who have always shared a special connection. Vanessa is outgoing, adventurous, and determined to live life to the fullest, while Louis is quieter and more reserved. Despite their differences, they understand each other in a way no one else can.As Vanessa becomes trapped in a frustrating situationship that leaves her feeling unappreciated, Louis struggles to watch someone he cares about settle for less than she deserves. One night, after Vanessa reaches a breaking point, Louis finally takes a chance and tells her how he feels. His honesty forces Vanessa to confront emotions she has been avoiding. She has spent so long running from the possibility of something more because she believes Louis is too good for her and fears she will only hurt him.What Vanessa eventually realizes is that Louis never needed her to be perfect. It was always her and him. Thank you all for watching. This is shot a Bolex camera using 16mm film and took two rolls of 250D. The camera can not pick up sound so that is why it’s more of a dialogue free film. There comes a point when the unimaginable becomes your reality. That day was yesterday. My Aunt Sandy got to rest freely. She is at peace and finally able to see her daddy and mommy again. Dear Aunt Sandy, I hope that you are free now and comfortable and finally able to see your dad again. My whole life you talked about him with the most upmost respect and love. I knew a man that I never met because you made sure of it. I remember that I used to go in your house and you would have The Wizard of Oz ready for me to put in the VCR. I watched that movie over and over and when it ended I played it again. That is where it started for my love of movies. I always loved that your house kept the same smell and even when you moved. I remember when it would be you, me, and daddy every night for dinner. We would all rub each other’s feet and fall asleep. You would wake up early to make me breakfast or take me to Dunkin before summer camp. I knew your house on 11th street like it was my own and that’s how you liked it. You would cook for hours for our family to sit down and smile and watch us all enjoy your food. You did it with ease and it was all from your heart. Hosting was your specialty. One day I hope to do the same because of you. I’ll miss your voice, your hair, the way you said my name, the way you always stuck up for your Bobby, and how small and cute you were. I never in a million years would have thought you would leave us this early. Words can’t even articulate this feeling or the emptiness I feel. I’ll miss you forever my beautiful Sandra inside and out I love you so much forever and ever. by @ciannaricci
