Jack Pine Bird by Tony Fitzpatrick. Tony could be gruff, he could be difficult, but a more generous and prolific soul I’ve never known. Tony and I shared respect and a love of Chicago, the White Sox and little song birds. We agreed the Jack Pine Warbler should be the state bird of Michigan. He made the beautiful art and we put his work on the label of our Jack Pine cider. We had more projects ahead, but this one collab will have to do. Tony was a brilliant artist with strong but fair opinions about just about everything. His generosity knew no bounds. He was the champion of the neighborhood dog and little song birds, amongst so many other passions. Big Tony was Brilliant w a capital B and he will forever be missed by the city he loved so much. by @cidergreg
