Something meaningful is happening in Essex County.

Facing Forward is collaborating with S.O.F.I.A. to bring domestic violence awareness training to beauty professionals in Essex County.

We’re excited to enhance our advocacy & support for women and children affected by domestic violence in a new avenue. Our own volunteers, Saleemah Staten, owner of NJ Hair Studio & Spa and certified domestic violence advocate, will be training with Facing Forward to help salon professionals recognize signs of domestic violence and unhealthy relationships and navigate difficult conversations with confidence and compassion.

TRAIN: Equip your team with practical tools.

GIVE: Offer restorative hair experiences to survivors of domestic violence.
