To the sport that has completely transformed my life, thank you!

It's time for me to officially hang up my spikes and retire from track and field but I am immensely grateful for the opportunities and blessings that 17 years of training and competing has opened up for me

Although this decision has not come lightly and I have tears in my eyes as I write this, I will always look back and be proud of how far God has brought me. When I first started athletics I had no idea that I'd compete professionally let alone become an Olympian, Commonwealth and European medalist, world championship finalist, and national record holder.

I was just a young girl with dreams and desires and God showed up in ways I could have never imagined or have done on my own.

To my federation @britishathletics , thank you for years of support and the resources you have provided for me. To my sponsor of 8 years @adidas thank you for never giving up on me even when I went through a difficult injury and helping make my dreams a reality.

To all my coaches, agency, family, and husband, thank you for being a pivotal role in my success and for cheering me on over the years. To my supporters, your messages and lovely faces in the crowds made this experience so much better

And finally to my late father who was the biggest reason I have been the athlete I am over the years, I would not be here without you daddy ❤️

Thank you Lord for these amazing blessings and please continue to follow along as I enter a new era of life!

You don’t have to be an elite athlete to want to understand your body.

You just have to want more from your health.

@cindyofili understands first-hand the importance of knowing your body, supporting its demands and taking a proactive approach to health.

But understanding your biology isn’t just for elite performers. It’s for everyone.

More understanding. More clarity. More informed decisions about what your body needs.

Your genetics, hormones, gut health, metabolism and nutritional needs all play a role in how you function, feel and respond.

Yet so many of us make decisions about our health without truly understanding what’s happening beneath the surface.

For so much of my life, sport was a huge part of my identity. I spent years chasing goals, pushing my limits, and pursuing the dream of competing at the Olympics.

And while I'm incredibly grateful that God allowed me to compete at three Olympic Games, multiple world championships and receive multiple wins along the way, the greatest lessons He taught me had nothing to do with medals, times, or accomplishments.

In my recent podcast episode I share some of the revelations God has revealed to me through sport and how it completely transformed my life.

Whether you're an athlete, a wife, a business owner, or simply a woman trying to figure out her next step, I believe these lessons will speak to you, too.

Having an all- or- nothing approach almost cost me from seeing seeing results that I was capable of achieving ( Rooted Conversations Ep.7)

I have struggled with perfectionism for many years and that would get in the way of my results physically. It wasn't until until God showed me that He can do more than I can on my own if I just show up faithfully in the small things I can do.

So many women are holding themselves back from true progress because they keep stopping the moment life gets in the way or things become a struggle. Stop allow perfectionism to be the reason you don't see the results you're capable of seeing. Doing the small things will get you further than you think if you just show up in whatever way you can.

Ladies, stop neglecting building muscle. There's SO much benefit from it long term and your future self will thank you for it.

A raw and real pull up inner dialogue🫠

Youur girl has been surprising herself with how strong she's getting. A few years ago doing just 1 pull up was a struggle for me ( this body was made for sprinting not pull ups lol) and after years of working at it, I've gotten a lot more comfortable with doing them.

Ladies, let's stop limiting ourselves to what we can actually do. We are all stronger than we think and it's just a matter of time before we see ourselves doing the things that were once difficult for us with ease 💪🏾 by @cindyofili

The key to long term fitness success truly stems from your why.

Remembering that God gave you this body to steward and envisioning all that He can do when you allow Him in on your journey absolutely leads to fruit down the line. It may not always be easy, and there will be times you may feel stagnant, but down the line you'll look back and be so incredibly proud of how far you'll get when you stay the course.

"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." Galatians 6:9
