Maybe it was easier to fly than it was to stay on the ground. I hope I mattered. 💚

This is probably the only time I watched a movie in the theater that literally made me travel back in time mentally and emotionally! Man, after over 7 years, that theater felt ripped out of 2019 all over again! The best part is beyond revisiting the past, we got a glimpse into the future as we await for December 18th for Avengers: Doomsday! I'm now more excited for Doomsday now than I have been the last two years it's been announced. It's safe to say for me, at least, that the MCU is MCU-ing again and I'm loving it! We have never been so back. Just please Doomsday, PLEASE be good! We're counting on you Marvel!

In brightest day, in darkest night, I'll embrace my fear. I'll do what's right. I choose this ring. I choose this fight. In service to this lantern's light. HOLY PEAK!

Well, that's it for Lanterns, hopefully for now. I need Season 2 greenlit, no pun intended, right now! This season finale was quite unconventional, but it fits exactly how this show was constructed from the beginning. I can't stop with these Lanterns puns! The twists and reveals were definitely unexpected as they kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire runtime! Kudos to writers of this show; from Tom King being the one to pitch it to getting Chris Mundy and Damon Lindelof on board as well as the other talented writers, the writing has been some of the best I've seen in a TV show, let alone a superhero show in a long time. I'm going to miss seeing Kyle Chandler's Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre's John Stewart together but I'm very excited to see John embrace his destiny going forward in the DCU. Especially with Man of Tomorrow out next summer, we'll see both John and Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner as the Green Lanterns of Earth! Maybe they should be the duo for next season, too.

Overall, even though this show was not the big, epic, space opera the comic fans would want, the grounded approach allowed for the audience to care about Hal Jordan, John Stewart and the people of Rushville, Nebraska before the insane space cops shenanigans took place! I will take insanely great character work over big yet pointless spectacle any day of the week. Especially after that approach has now officially made Green Lantern cool again in public eyes everywhere. Whatever the future holds for the DCU Green Lantern Corps, I'm here for it and can't wait to see the goat Aaron Pierre come back as John Stewart, whether in Man of Tomorrow or Lanterns Season 2. Next stop for the DCU, Clayface on October 23rd!

Episode Ranking
The Jordan Boys Legacy (7) - 9.9
Dirt and Stars (8) - 9.8
Bad Optics (6) - 9.5
OutKast (3) - 9.4
Lights Out (5) - 9.2
The Weenie (4) - 9
Pilot (1) - 8.8
Trust Fall (2) - 8.5

Overall season score: 9.3 💚⭐⭐⭐⭐💚 by @cinematic_logan

I'm not ready for Lanterns to end!

PLEASE @dcofficial and @hbo renew it for a second season! Too many shows these days only go for one short season. We need more Green Lantern media on our screens! Please! 💚

You see how this looks right?

Yeah. I watched 200 movies throughout this year so far! Robert Pattinson has become one of my favorite actors working today and I'm so glad I waited to watch Primetime as my 200th movie of the year. Not only does Primetime showcase one of Robert Pattinson's most energetic performances yet, it's a movie that really makes you think about what justice looks like in a world where television has become a dominant form of media. It's quite thought provoking and does not deserve to be overlooked.

Here's to at least a hundred more movies to be experienced the rest of the year! by @cinematic_logan

Happy Batman Day! Last night, I had the privilege of seeing Michael Keaton's first movie as the Caped Crusader from 1989! The best part, it was on the big screen of a dark theater in all of its cinematic glory! I hadn't had a chance to see it before, being a big fan of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy. However, having seen this movie, it is absolutely iconic! There's a reason why Danny Elfman's score for this movie has remained as Batman's iconic theme song all this time. Jack Nicholson clearly got paid the big bucks playing the Joker, his performance was gloriously unhinged! Michael Keaton also has so much aura as the Batman, despite not being able to move his neck!

This movie, as well as The Lego Batman Movie and Mask of the Phantasm are in theaters for the weekend so if you're looking for something fun to do this Batman Day, find a theater near you that's playing these great cinematic pieces in celebration of my favorite superhero of all time. Or watch all the classics at home, because Batman has an incredible filmography!

If you're not watching DC Studios' Lanterns with any green snack, like Andes chocolate, are you even doing it right?

So excited for this latest episode! 💚

THIS shh means something to ME, man! 🥹

Cars came out when I was only 2 years old. I didn't get to watch it till it was long out on DVD when I was 6 years old! It's been a big part of my life since and I never thought I'd get the chance to see it in the theater like all the lucky folks back in '06. Let alone in 3D! Genuinely one of the best movie experiences of my life as I saw adults that were probably in their late teens, early 20s when Cars originally came out that were now taking their kids to witness such greatness! I hope childhoods continue to be made with this movie and, if in the next decade they rerelease Cars for its 30th anniversary, hopefully I'll have kids of my own that will enjoy this movie and blasting Life is a Highway like their old man. I won't even need to know where I'm going, I just need to know where I've been and pass it down to them. Thank you so much Disney, Pixar and all the creatives involved in making such generational art and allowing people of all ages to connect with the beautiful world of Radiator Springs. by @cinematic_logan

Just watched Coyote vs. Acme! Truly a testament that anything can happen when you use your voice. Whether to speak for someone who can't speak for themselves or demand the release of a solid, fun movie that had audience members cracking up together in the theater. That shared experience is what the movies thrive on and make going to see them worthwhile. Here's for more journeys to the cinema! by @cinematic_logan

Travis Scott being the first actor in the rolling credits is still crazy work!

I rewatched The Odyssey last night and realized something. We truly have been having the greatest year of media in recent memory throughout this year. And the craziest thing is, we still have four months left of the year for even more films to come out! Now, the question becomes, am I going to see all the films on my list every week? We'll see... by @cinematic_logan

20 years ago today, Barnyard was released into the wild of cinematic history. A few years later, when I was 4 or 5, Barnyard would become one of the first movies I remember watching and automatically one of my favorites. It's certainly not as perfect as it was when I was young, but I'll always cherish the amazing memories from anytime I spent watching this life defining film.
