Lavender!

We have one more stop on our market tour for October this upcoming weekend, it’s a bigggg one. @cityoflakesartfair ! Super jazzed to have been accepted into the emerging artists category.
Both Saturday & Sunday.

97ish % of my offering are original works — including these littles. The remaining are prints of my sketches from over the years. It’s mean a whole heck of a lot to do originals and have them become uniquely owned, even if that takes more time, even if they are small. It is never lost that purchasing art is an investment, but one from real human to real human choosing to create handmade work.

And irony is that we don’t choose it to make millions, we choose it to keep the lights on in our soul while we’re here. We choose it, to keep IT alive.

I may have over jazzed this one 😅

So, I like to pizzaz jazz some splash in the paintings. Get outside the lines. No recipe, type deal. Sometimes it’s the perfect little 👌 and other times it’s a flat out, nah. nope. When I choose to do this close to done it is umm…risky bidness? Humbling, really.
Almost a month since I picked up a paint brush so, a bit like brushing off the webs too.
I can’t tell if I love it or hate it right now? Oh well, we do it cuz we love it.
