'Show and Tell' until it's time to make clothes again
Pt.3

Last spring 2025, I got to create an amazing 1A insignia floral denim jacket for the most vibrant artist I know and love @circlebackstudios right before she moved away to the big city of Minneapolis.

Using a secondhand denim jacket sourced by @rebellionvtg I had fun playing with my favorite vintage floral fabrics ☺️🌷🌹 taking direct inspiration from my favorite floral artworks of hers.

Thank you for believing in me as much as you do my friend! 🫶🏾

The Broken Record by @circlebackstudios
Mixed media

Depiction of a broken record in reflection to twelve ongoing political issues and topics, leveraging the make-up of vinyl records and how they work as a motif.

the entire collection is on view until the closing reception on 04.18!

Elaina Porcaro (b. 1994) is a mixed‑media artist currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after relocating from Raleigh, North Carolina. She founded her art practice, @circlebackstudios , in 2022, launching her career from a place of reinvention and resilience.

Her work blends cultural history, travel, human connection, and the natural world, often using the Language of Flowers as a visual vocabulary to tell layered, symbolic stories. Through texture, color, and pattern, Elaina creates pieces that invite viewers to pause, reflect, and find meaning in the details.

Elaina is committed to making art accessible and collaborative—partnering with clients, collectors, and fellow artists to create work that feels personal, intentional, and within reach.

For this submission, she debuts her newest collection, The Broken Record, a series that merges music, memory, and social commentary through a vinyl‑inspired motif.

A lifelong creator, Elaina first declared she would be an artist in kindergarten—and has been following that path ever since.
