Have you ever grown your own food? It's an amazing feeling to know that you can (at least partially) sustain yourself and your family/ community with the produce you grow right in your own backyard. Plus, it's a great way to mitigate climate change and reduce your carbon footprint.

Our little girl has been having a blast playing in our garden and picking greens, which we've been using in our meals. It's heartwarming to see her so excited about the process. We're grateful for all the work that has been done with students and volunteers to make this garden the beautiful place it is!

Permaculture is a sustainable agriculture and design method that seeks to work with nature rather than against it. It's an excellent way to create a resilient and abundant food garden that also supports biodiversity.

We're thrilled to say that our 2-week permaculture design course will be starting on September 3! If you're interested in learning more about permaculture, homesteading, and creating a sustainable lifestyle, follow the link in our bio to join us. Let's take a step towards a better tomorrow! #permaculturedesigncourse #homesteading #growyourownfood #climatechange #sustainability

Late May rain in the Alentejo today, and we're thrilled to see our IBC tanks (with overflows to our forest garden) doing their job - this short, massive downpour yielded hundreds of litres! Water harvesting is especially important in this region, and we're happy to do our part in conserving this precious resource. Yuki the cat got spooked by the thunder (don't worry, she's cozy inside now!). Here's to more rain showers and happy, hydrated plants 🌧️💦 #waterharvesting #sustainability #catsofinstagram

An explosion of colour bursting forth from the earth.

Rejoice! The spectacular rhododendrons in our valley are in full bloom!

We cannot but dance to the rhythms of nature.
