Apprenticeship training subsidies are now paid quarterly. 💰

For employers, more frequent payments mean improved cash flow support while continuing to invest in apprentices and South Australia’s future construction workforce.

The quarterly payment arrangement applies to current employer support payments only. Grandfathered payment arrangements remain unchanged.

A night celebrating the people who continue to shape the future of South Australia’s construction industry.

CITB was proud to attend the NAWIC SA Awards for Excellence 2026, joining industry leaders, professionals and changemakers to recognise the outstanding talent, leadership, innovation and achievements driving our sector forward.

The evening provided a valuable opportunity to celebrate the contributions of individuals and organisations across construction, while connecting with industry peers who are committed to building a stronger, more inclusive and future-ready workforce.

Representing CITB on the night were Holly Willcox, CEO; Toni Hartley, Executive Lead, Partnerships & Learning Strategy; and Sarah Tinkham, Manager, Education and Training.

🦺 Future tradies in the making!

Future tradies are getting hands-on experience on a vacant SA Housing Trust home, building practical skills in landscaping, bricklaying, painting and more.

It’s a great example of how early industry experience can help create pathways into rewarding careers in construction.

CITB CEO Holly Willcox says initiatives like this are helping build “a stronger, more diverse construction workforce for South Australia.”

With 225 new apprenticeship opportunities announced through the SA Housing Trust’s Employment Pathways Program, there are exciting opportunities ahead for the next generation of South Australian tradies.

If you're ready to get off the tools, but stay in the industry, the tradie2trainer Accelerate scholarship can help you get there. You'll not only be setting yourself up for the next step in your career, but also use your skills and experience to train the next generation.

Delivered by Auctus Training Institute (RTO 40879), on completion you'll walk away with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, plus a $2,000 completion incentive for eligible participants.
