Last Thursday, we celebrated the end of an era! 🥂🎉👏

We celebrated the incredible career of Larry Moore, NECA SA/NT’s Executive Director for the past 28 years, at the National Wine Centre.

Congratulations Larry on such a fantastic, diverse, rewarding, passionate, and illustrious career!

You have been pivotal to NECA for nearly three decades and the association would not be where it is today without you and your immense contributions.

The electrotechnology sector is in a better place because of you, and the entire industry is extremely grateful. 🔌💡⚡

We wish you all the best for the next chapter! 👋💖✨

All photos are available on our Facebook page, but here is a small snapshot of a fantastic evening. Our amazing photographer was Dan Trimboli from Trim Photography.

Congrats to PEER and the nine women who completed our first women’s only Try-A-Trade course in Adelaide, targeted at women who have left school and are considering an electrical pathway.

The day, supported by CITB South Australia and Big Sister funding provided by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations Building Women’s Careers program, offered a pathway for women who might be interested in enrolling in an electrical pre-apprenticeship.

We are excited to announce that following the program, our women’s only pre-apprenticeship electrotechnology course, commencing in early July, is now fully booked.

To get on the waiting list for future courses, or more information, register via the Big Sister website bigsisterprogram.com.au/

Proud to be apart of NICS and WTA launch in SA and welcome the first two apprentices, signed up alongside the Skills Commissioner, Mr Cameron Baker.
This is what it’s all about: creating real opportunities and building a stronger future for the wet trades. Backed by 100+ years of Master Painters Association support, they’re here for the long run.
Let’s get to work. 👏

Last term, we were delighted to have the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) speak to our Year 10 and 11 students about the benefits of signing up for a CITB number, which provides students with access to funded training, industry programs, and financial support across the building and construction sector.
