I’ve been quiet lately but that doesn’t mean I’ve been doing nothing!! Just sat down to edit my recent project photos…

My client’s vintage bungalow on the Venice walk streets needed a fresh vision for its dated dark and impractical kitchen (see last photo for how it looked before)

We wanted to stay true to the architecture of this sweet home while creating a simple, warm and functional kitchen with an earthy yet timeless Scandinavian SoCal feel.

We opened up the space, brought in more light, added open shelving for the Client’s beautiful ceramics and fell in love with the steel blue ILVE stove which became the starting point for the design. We kept the palette simple to let the wood grain stand out and added in other handmade details like the light fixtures. Let us know what you think of the results!

One of the greatest gifts of our trip to England was reconnecting with a dear friend @jemima_jabb from my British boarding school days and visiting her Cotswolds home I’ve heard so much about over the years.

When she was just 18, she went to India to teach English to Tibetan refugees. There she met a young Tibetan man who had recently fled Tibet after the Chinese occupation. They fell in love, and after years of navigating visas, embassies, and impossible paperwork, they eventually built a life together in England. Decades later, they’re still happily married, have two wonderful boys, and Lamajabb is now a Professor of Tibetan Studies at Oxford 📚🙌🏼

Their home found them in the most extraordinary way.

After missing out on another house, my friend’s father happened to mention they were looking while chatting to someone at the local pub. That conversation led them here. When they first arrived, Tibetan prayer flags were flying in the garden. The owner explained she’d recently returned from a trip to Tibet, and the highlight of her journey had been visiting a tiny monastery in a remote corner of the country. As they talked, they realized it was the very monastery where Lamajabb’s uncle and brother had been monks. What are the chances?

The house was well beyond their budget, so they reluctantly let it go. Months later, the owner called and simply said, “I’ve been thinking… I want you to have the house.” They found a way to make it work, and twelve years later it feels as though it was always meant to be theirs.

Built from 170-million-year-old Cotswold oolitic limestone, it’s everything I love about English houses… centuries of history, beautifully preserved but gently updated for modern life. Every room feels collected rather than decorated, filled with books, art, Tibetan treasures, family photographs, and memories from a life well lived.

As an interior designer, I love beautiful homes. But I love homes with stories even more.

Third time in #Morocco and still feels like I haven’t scratched the surface. Here are some of my favorite designey moments with art, color, textures, tiles, terracotta, timeworn beauty… this place rewires my design brain every time. ✨🇲🇦 I always leave here inspired, never finished. I worked with a Topanga realtor to breathe new life into a drab cramped kitchen, creating cost-effective updates—maple floors, new cabinets, and counters—that doubled her clients’ rental income. Tragically, the Palisades fire took their home, along with so many others. Several of my own past projects disappeared in the flames, and I know how overwhelming it feels to start over. 🏖️It’s that time of year when vacation brain kicks in—when the sunsets, cocktails, and slow mornings whisper: “You should buy a little slice of paradise…” 🌴
I just got back from an incredible family trip to Sayulita, Mexico, where the surf was as smooth as the mezcalinas and the sunrise skies looked like an iridescent Xanadu swirl.
By Day 2, we were ready to drop everything and move there. We even toured a “dream” property—a 40-minute jungle trek to a treehouse with a tiny pool, ocean view… and no beach access. Add in a thriving bat colony and more mosquitos than I thought possible, all for nearly the same price as a Santa Monica condo.
It made us really think about what we actually want in a vacation home—and what we don’t.

Dinner at our friend Brian’s impeccably restored mid-century gem—complete with Japanese influences and an almost obsessive (in the best way) dedication to original detail.

Only an internationally renowned architect with a touch of OCD could pull this off without losing his mind and somehow make it all look effortless. 🧠🪵🏯

Also: pink + brown Obviously!!! One of my favorite color pairings earthy, unexpected, and quietly chic. 💗🤎

Add to that a 7-course art-meets-poetry meal by @seancolginarts and great company and let’s just say… every sense was nourished! by @citrinecasa

✨Client success is at the heart of what I do. I love helping people through big moments — whether that’s finding their dream home or designing a space that really feels soulful and personal to their loved experience.
Recently, I got to wear both hats - design & real estate … we found a perfectly imperfect property and I negotiated a great price below asking. The walls came down and the bats flew out and many surprises unfolded not all of them pleasant! With a clear design vision and tight timeline, we remodeled the home completely — all on a restricted budget and in under four months!
I’m proud of how everything came together. 🏡✨
