An oldie but a goodie. Our first interview. Lorrie and I went to Dallas to talk to the legend, Andy Hughes. This kicked things into gear for us, and we never looked back! Thanks again Andy! 🤘🏼🔥😉 #andyhughes #dallastexas #starckclub #citybeat #magicandmadness taken in Dallas, Texas by @city_beatiful_documentary

3.5 years of hard drives. Countless coffee runs. One docuseries.

Today, the City Beat footage is officially on the server. The animation team has it now. Editing the finishing touches.

And honestly? Lou won’t know what to do with himself. 🎬

Working with Daniel the animator has been an awesome experience. He has a great eye and a great imagination. Here, we are working on logos for the different music styles, as they cross the Atlantic and inspire a new generation of artists in waiting. Please make sure to keep following us, we’re getting close! #citybeat #citybeatifuldocumentary #orlandounderground #floridabreaks taken in Concrete Lion Pictures LLC by @city_beatiful_documentary

Filmmaking is a journey. Each project has its own life cycle, and in that time you get really close to the people you’re working with. This was the last shoot, at least for now, as we finish Post production. We anticipate being finished this year. Thank you to everybody who is following this journey with us. Thank you @jonbraucher and @shauntrout for going on this journey with me. Thank you @d1donlydjsandy for your continued support and awesome artwork. Thank you @otownbboyoffunk and @rnberretta for the vinyl, and the support. And most of all, thank you Jonathan for keeping me on script because words matter! #citybeat #citybeatifuldocumentary #floridabreaks #orlandounderground #electronicdancemusic taken in Concrete Lion Pictures LLC by @city_beatiful_documentary

I got to see some old friends last night and did some interviews for The Underground Alternative Music Television Reboot, at the Club Spacefish Reunion. The Underground was a show that I used to work on in the 90s, and the Spacefish was the legendary downtown punk club from back then. Club Spacefish was short-lived unfortunately, the City shut it down, the City doing City things. The reunion hosted some beloved local bands from that era like Damage, Love Gods in Leisure Suits and the Riddlers. Some of the interviews are also going to be featured in another Orlando documentary, chronicling the underground rock and punk scenes as well as the pop and alternative bands to come out of Orlando like Matchbox Twenty, Seven Mary Three, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys. The working title is Orange Avenue, and my friends in the photo are producing and working on it. We are talking about cross pollinating the projects, we will see. Orlando was pretty special in the 90s, looking forward to sharing what I have! #matchboxtwenty #sevenmarythree #nsync #backstreetboys #clubspacefish taken in Conduit by @city_beatiful_documentary

The ghost of Church Street station. The ghost of downtown. A city living in the shadow of Disney World. A theme park annex. Who’s ready to have some fun?! 🐭 #citybeat #citybeatifuldocumentary #orlandounderground #floridabreaks taken in Downtown Orlando by @city_beatiful_documentary

This is another interview we did a while ago. Luis Evans was a promoter back in the hay day, and he’s still going strong, promoting and producing events for Vizion 1. He is also one of the nicest people I’ve met on this journey, salt of the earth. Thank you to everyone who has kept up with us! We are pushing hard to finish CITY BEAT this year, so stay tuned and we will keep you up-to-date! @levans_0912 @vzn1 @concretelionpictures @shauntrout #citybeat #citybeatifuldocumentary #floridabreaks #orlandounderground by @city_beatiful_documentary

This was an insightful interview with a super cool human @djheathercollins We did this a while ago but I’m so bad at social media. CITY BEAT is still going strong! The editing process is slow, and animation is even slower. But 2026 is our year! #citybeatdocumentary #orlandoundergroundmusic #floridabreaks taken in Concrete Lion Pictures LLC by @city_beatiful_documentary
