3.5 years of hard drives. Countless coffee runs. One docuseries.

Today, the City Beat footage is officially on the server. The animation team has it now. Editing the finishing touches.

And honestly? Lou won’t know what to do with himself. 🎬

So this went down today. @talulahcheney and I were invited to be interviewed/a part of the documentary-series City Beatiful @city_beatiful_documentary . The documentary is about the development of the house/electronic music scene in Orlando. Our part was my participation in the scene from the late 80’s/early 90’s but also the generational passing of the torch so to speak - Lu growing up in the culture with parents still involved today, and now her participation. So grateful to have had this opportunity to share not only my experiences but to share it with my daughter. Thank you Louis!… words cannot express my gratitude. Such a wonderful experience to hear how the scene impacted others lives as deeply as mine, and to actually hear how the culture has been passed on to the next generation.

So proud of Eric and his brothers (aka Berretta Bros) and their role in the early Orlando / Florida Breaks scene. For those that experienced it, you all know what a magical era it was and how it paved the way of the electronic dance music scene to what it is today. This documentary interviews all the pioneer DJs and producers who played an important role during this magical and unforgetable time and these guys had so many great stories to share. Looking forward to the final product 🎥 🎶❤️💯

January meant New Year, Harder Grind! My class was tasked with creating 7 films incorporating different cinematic elements with a concentration on lighting and framing. Out of those 7 I was talent for 5 of them. Before production began on these films, I found myself hosting zoom meetings, organizing schedules, providing locations, and facilitating crew member responsibilities. During production I was providing meals and snacks, locating restrooms on an outdoor set, and watching unattended equipment. Outside of the class projects, we worked on a documentary called “City BEATiful” @city_beatiful_documentary this was an eye opening experience because I was placed in an associate producer role and got to pick the brains of a few instructors about the industry and everything was producer based advised which was more in-depth than what we would typically receive in class. This was the third sign. I learned that God shows you things in threes. Oddly enough 3 is my favorite number so if it’s a 3 it’s for me! This was when I realized I was being called into a producer position.
