It always starts with a first day at the barre.

A little boy, taking his first steps in ballet…
Years later — on the stage of the Prix de Lausanne, a prize winner.

Today is the first day of classes at City Ballet San Francisco, and a new journey begins for every young dancer who walks into our studios.

We never know where that very first day at the barre may lead.

Welcome to a new year at CBSF. #boysinballet #vaganovaballet #ballet #balletacademy #backtoschool by @cityballetsf
