Hi, I’m Candice 👋 St. Louis has been home my entire life and I’m on a mission to help you love where you live!

A little reintroduction and a few fun facts:

✨I’m a stop for a caramel latte and take the scenic route type of person!
🪴 My husband proposed at the Missouri Botanical Garden almost 17 years ago.
🌿 I adore nature and hiking but tent camping is not for me.
🩵 Aqua for life. I think it’s because it reminds me of the ocean.
🥤 Diet Dr. Pepper is superior to the rest.
📸 Always out of space on my phone.
✈️ My first flight was to Munich, Germany to sing with my high school choir.
🌸 My love of flowers runs deep. We’ve gone to Amersterdam to see the tulips and Japan to see the cherry blossoms. Zero regrets!
✨ I truly believe Midwest magic is real- this area is so much more than a flyover zone!
🎀 My daughter was born about 7 weeks early- being a NICU mama taught me an entirely different kind of strength.

Do we have anything in common? So happy you’re here friends ❤️ Thank you for being part of this community! by @cjmeyeradventures

A little Hogwarts magic has made its way to St. Louis! Here are 4 ways to experience the Wizarding World right here in STL:

🧙‍♀️ 1. Month of Magic | La Pâtisserie Chouquette
One of our favorite bakeries transforms into a wizarding wonderland every October! Incredible themed desserts, whimsical decor, and the most delicious Harry’s Birthday Cake with pumpkin cake and salted caramel buttercream. Trust me on this one!

🥤 2. SugarSpell Dirty Soda | Crispy Sips
This fall-inspired specialty dirty soda is serving up a little extra magic! My kids LOVED this butterscotch treat.

☕ 3. Butterbeer | Kentzo Koffee
Your Hogwarts-inspired coffee fix! A fun twist on the beloved wizarding drink that’s perfect for fall. I’m not sure how long they will feature this special!

🪄 4. Wizards in the Kitchen | Kitchen Conservatory
A hands-on Harry Potter-inspired cooking class for kids ages 7–11 and a parent, complete with butterbeer and magical treats!
📅 Next class: November 21

🏰 BONUS: A new wizard-themed pop-up is coming to Salvage Yard Bar & Grill on October 18. We’ll be sharing our review so stay tuned!

October cocktails just got a serious upgrade.

Planter’s House in St. Louis has transformed into The Haunting, a Halloween cocktail pop-up that’s all about the details!

🕸️ The elaborate spiderweb installation stretching across the ceiling is absolutely spectacular.

🎬 Look up! A spooky movie is projected onto the ceiling above the bar, adding to the eerie atmosphere.

🍸 The themed cocktails are just as creative, each served in its own distinctive glassware. I’m still thinking about the Tangled Web! The flavors were fantastic, but that Prosecco foam on top completely stole the show 👀 Ridiculously good and unlike anything I’ve tasted before!

It’s such a fun spot for an October date night or a festive evening out with friends.

📍 The Haunting at Planter’s House | St. Louis
🎟️ Reservations available online!
🎃 Plan for drinks only- no dinner menu!

3 stops and they hit all the fall favorites just across the river from STL:

🎃 Stop 1: Braeutigam Orchards
Apple picking is done for the season, but Pumpkin Fest is this weekend! We love their apple cider slushies. The mini cups are only $1.75! You can’t beat their free wagon rides, free field admission, and farm animals. They do have a small play area for littles.

🍦 Stop 2: Eckert’s
Head 2 miles down the road for a cider flight + ice cream. They have a gorgeous row of gigantic pumpkins in front for photo ops! You can also catch live music on weekends at @eckertscidershed. Be sure to browse their store for local goodies to bring home.

🏰 Stop 3: Schranz Park Playground
End the day at the castle-themed playground! There’s a drawbridge entrance, slides, climbing tower, and more! There’s also a fenced toddler area, which makes it an especially great stop for younger kids to burn off some energy before the drive home.

Cobblestone streets. Glowing pumpkins. Legendary characters… THIS is one of our favorite Midwest festivals! ✨

Legends & Lanterns returns during October weekends (starting 10/10). Here you’ll find interactive characters and activities like: storytelling, musical performances, scavenger hunts, and sugar skull transformations by professional make-up artists. In the past, they’ve also had cute passport stamp stations!

A few pro-tips from @cjmeyeradventures ⤵️

🎟️ The festival is FREE to enter! It takes place along historic Main Street in St. Charles, MO.

👀 You just never know who you’ll bump into since some characters move around (and may not be present each day). Our favorite group to find? The Ghouling Stones 🎶 Living statues? Rockstar vocalists? They’re hilarious and incredibly talented.

🎉 They have an opening parade before the festival starts each day and a closing ceremony.

🧁 Dessert is a must! Stop in for a treat at Sugar & Slice or Grandma’s Cookies on Main!

🎃 They feature Pumpkin Glow nights on 10/23 and 10/24- it’s magical! Main Street is lined with carved pumpkins. Parking can be tricky!

2026 Festival Schedule:

Sat, 10/10: 11am to 6pm
Sun, 10/11: 12pm to 5pm
Sat, 10/17: 11am to 6pm
Sun, 10/18: 12pm to 5pm
Fri, 10/23: 5pm to 8pm (Pumpkin Glow Night)
Sat, 10/24: 11am to 8pm (Pumpkin Glow Night)
Sun, 10/25: 12pm to 5pm

Peak October = a fall coffee flight. 🍂☕️

FOLLOW @cjmeyeradventures for more fun STL finds + seasonal stops like ⬇️

📍Shaw’s Coffee

We picked 3 seasonal drinks to build a flight - and these are NOT tiny little tasting cups! It really feels like getting three actual drinks to try.

My favorites that I wouldn’t hesitate to order again:
🫐 Bluebird Bramble: iced white blueberry mocha with maple cold foam + blueberry drizzle
🍁 Maple Moose: brown sugar maple latte with maple cold foam

I really want to go back to try their version of pumpkin spice and “The Pear Bear,” which is a sweet cinnamon pear latte.

@shawscoffee is such a fun coffee stop in general because it’s inside a former bank… you can actually sit in the original bank vault while you drink your coffee. 🏦

The years are short 🤎 Welcome to Mom & Me Dates: a series about trying something new in The Lou and making time to really connect.

Follow @cjmeyeradventures as we find some of the best ways to spend a little 1:1 time together around St. Louis ⬇️

My daughter and I were invited to try found & formed, a pop-up art café that basically plans the perfect creative date- drinks, art supplies, tons of projects to choose from, and zero prep or cleanup! Here’s how it works:

🎨 You reserve your seat
🖌️ Pick what you want to create
🥤 Enjoy the unique venue! Grab a drink/snack.
✨ And they have everything ready for you

We chose watercolor, but the creative menu included clay, oil pastels, jewelry making and more. I especially loved seeing the owner Courtney’s own sketches. I mean, how perfect is that Arch silhouette?!

Our pop-up was at @theteaspout, which made the night even more fun. We loved getting to taste some of their drinks while we painted.

Upcoming Events:
🍂 Oct. 9 | Cocktails in the Garden at Maypop
A 21+ evening in the greenhouse with art + a cocktail or mocktail. I’m already thinking this one needs to be a Mom & Me date with MY mom.

🎨 Oct. 23 | Mom’s Night of Free Play at Totspot Social
Adults get the art experience while the kids get free play.

🥂 Nov. 6 | Autumn Cocktails at La Belle Vie
Another 21+ creative night with cocktails/mocktails and art.

So, would you go for watercolor, jewelry, or oil pastels? by @cjmeyeradventures
