Deeply grateful to be seen through @daniellfaro personal and creative lens, and to see our world, in this constellation, reflected in @vogue.polska @vogue.polska.living . Still a surreal feeling. Thank you to everyone who believed in this and made this possible.

The office chair reimagined by Christoph Kuemmecke

For the upcoming edition of @3daysofdesign, we handed the office chair over to nine creative minds.

Berlin-based interiors and creative consultant @ckuemmecke reinterprets it through a mid-century lens. Combining the functionality of a contemporary office chair with the aesthetics of renowned American architect Frank Lloyd Wright Jr., his design pays tribute to the pared-down style and materiality characteristic of the era, balancing warm, earthy tones with refined industrial elements.

Make sure to come by and see the final result in person.

Farewell, Euro Summer. A villa, a pool and eleven characters, surrounded by the beauty of the Peloponnese and exposed to its wilder side. Storms, rain and eventually far more sun than clouds, followed by some truly surreal sunsets. A few days to slow down, reflect on new beginnings, bring unfinished projects to life and simply let nature inspire whatever comes next, with the Cyclades waiting for the next adventure. taken in Peloponnese, Greece by @ckuemmecke

Anzeige | First glimpse of the Egon Eiermann shelf in my new studio. An archetype of modern shelving, produced by @richard.lampert in a slightly adapted form. Delivered and expertly installed by the team at @modusmoebel Berlin.

The shelving structure is made of stainless steel, paired with six MDF shelves in a white melamine finish. Expertly adapted by @modusmoebel to suit the needs of the studio, it creates space for books, personal objects, and other belongings. True to Egon Eiermann’s ingenious design, the structure is based on just two elements: shelves and two vertical rods, with the shelves simply threaded onto them. Its unconventional construction and light appearance challenged the traditional approach to shelving of its time.

From delivery and installation to the finer details of the service, the team at @modusmoebel takes care of everything with great expertise. This makes the process feel remarkably effortless, especially in an Altbau apartment built in 1927–28 to the plans of architect Erich Glas, where working with the existing architecture often comes with its own set of challenges. Knowing that everything is in the hands of an experienced team makes the entire process all the more enjoyable.

Dirk from @modusmoebel and his colleague are working through the finer details of the installation. Keeping Egon Eiermann’s precise and understated design in mind, the shelving is carefully adapted to the room. Uneven walls and an irregular wooden floor make for a few challenges, so the structure is carefully levelled and adjusted through the floor supports to achieve a clean and precise fit.

Details of the individual elements of the shelving system designed by Egon Eiermann and produced by @richard.lampert featuring white melamine shelves and a stainless steel tube structure. The exact position of the shelving was carefully determined in advance allowing every element to be precisely placed and aligned on site.

With just two wall fixings and two stainless steel tubes reaching down to the wooden floor, the shelving supports itself through its own structural design. A simple and remarkably efficient construction that gives the system both stability and lig taken in Wedding, Berlin by @ckuemmecke

Anzeige | Expanding the kitchen set-up with a table by one of my favourite designers, Alvar Aalto, alongside the existing Chair 66s. Designed in 1933, this folding table features Aalto’s ingenious L-leg construction, a pioneering piece of design that remains at the heart of @artekglobal furniture objects to this day. Its versatility brings a welcome sense of flexibility to the kitchen, equally suited to a long breakfast, an unhurried afternoon over tea and magazines, a board game, or simply the cultivated art of doing very little. taken in Wedding, Berlin by @ckuemmecke

Anzeige | A new chapter. A 9 sqm guest room is being transformed into a compact creative studio, bringing together workspace, a private library, inspiration and a curated collection of objects. At its centre is the Eiermann shelving system by @richard.lampert a modern classic based on Egon Eiermann’s 1932 design. Its modular character allows colour, materials, dimensions and details to be adapted to the space, reflecting Richard Lampert’s approach of combining enduring classics with contemporary and unconventional design. Together with the experts at @modusmoebel the focus is on finding the right configuration, carefully considering materials, proportions, colours and the existing elements of the room.

@modusmoebel Berlin has been a destination for design culture for over 60 years. Since 1964, the showroom in Berlin Charlottenburg has brought together exceptional furniture, materials and design expertise. In the impressive material library, the existing materials of the room come together as the basis for the consultation, helping to explore the different configurations of the Eiermann shelving system and find the right combination of colour, material and dimensions for the space.

The unique @modusmoebel material library offers the opportunity to experience materials up close. Textiles, finishes and surfaces can be seen, touched and combined with different colours and material samples, making the process of selecting and refining a design both intuitive and personal. This close engagement with materiality reflects a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and design culture, as well as for the people and expertise behind each material.

A selection from the @modusmoebel material library, exploring different colours and material combinations for the Eiermann shelving system by Richard Lampert. Seeing the samples alongside the existing textiles and materials in the room helps to understand how each combination works within the space and how the different elements come together.

Anzeige | In collaboration with @astridtextiles and textile designer @jsr__studio (Julia Riedel), the curtains for our apartment overlooking a park were developed as a soft membrane between inside and out, filtering the changing light while bringing warmth, texture and calm into the rooms.

Ragusa Recycled became the main fabric, with its beautiful irregularity and tactile quality, while Nicola Recycled was used for the delicate café curtain in the kitchen and a patchwork composition in the study/guestroom. Julia completed this composition with fabrics from her own archive, bringing together different textures, colours and histories in a subtle dialogue between order and spontaneity.

A special thank you to the team at Astrid for believing in the vision and supporting the process with such openness and trust. And to Julia, for your creative brilliance, your distinctive perspective and, most of all, for the inspiring person you are.
