Anzeige | The Egon Eiermann shelving system, minimalist at heart, maximalist in my studio. A structure that makes room for the objects, memories, books and working materials that make up my personal universe, keeping them visible, accessible and present. Making objects visible is, in itself, a way of showing appreciation. Rooted in the 1930s, this archetype of modern shelving becomes more than just a piece of furniture in my space. It marks a turning point, the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another, as I shape the present and future of a new professional journey.

Moments from Sarakiniko, Milos. A place shaped by volcanic activity and sculpted by the sea over thousands of years. White rock formations, natural steps, rocky bridges, and smooth, flowing curves create a landscape unlike anywhere else. Especially in the off-season, with hardly anyone around, it feels like wandering through another world. The striking contrast between the dazzling white cliffs and the deep blue of the sky and sea, the warmth of the sun-soaked rock beneath your feet, and the raw power of the Aegean make this place unforgettable. Milos and its surreal lunar beauty left us speechless.

Anzeige | First glimpse of the Egon Eiermann shelf in my new studio. An archetype of modern shelving, produced by @richard.lampert in a slightly adapted form. Delivered and expertly installed by the team at @modusmoebel Berlin.

The shelving structure is made of stainless steel, paired with six MDF shelves in a white melamine finish. Expertly adapted by @modusmoebel to suit the needs of the studio, it creates space for books, personal objects, and other belongings. True to Egon Eiermann’s ingenious design, the structure is based on just two elements: shelves and two vertical rods, with the shelves simply threaded onto them. Its unconventional construction and light appearance challenged the traditional approach to shelving of its time.

From delivery and installation to the finer details of the service, the team at @modusmoebel takes care of everything with great expertise. This makes the process feel remarkably effortless, especially in an Altbau apartment built in 1927–28 to the plans of architect Erich Glas, where working with the existing architecture often comes with its own set of challenges. Knowing that everything is in the hands of an experienced team makes the entire process all the more enjoyable.

Dirk from @modusmoebel and his colleague are working through the finer details of the installation. Keeping Egon Eiermann’s precise and understated design in mind, the shelving is carefully adapted to the room. Uneven walls and an irregular wooden floor make for a few challenges, so the structure is carefully levelled and adjusted through the floor supports to achieve a clean and precise fit.

Anzeige | A new chapter. A 9 sqm guest room is being transformed into a compact creative studio, bringing together workspace, a private library, inspiration and a curated collection of objects. At its centre is the Eiermann shelving system by @richard.lampert a modern classic based on Egon Eiermann’s 1932 design. Its modular character allows colour, materials, dimensions and details to be adapted to the space, reflecting Richard Lampert’s approach of combining enduring classics with contemporary and unconventional design. Together with the experts at @modusmoebel the focus is on finding the right configuration, carefully considering materials, proportions, colours and the existing elements of the room.

@modusmoebel Berlin has been a destination for design culture for over 60 years. Since 1964, the showroom in Berlin Charlottenburg has brought together exceptional furniture, materials and design expertise. In the impressive material library, the existing materials of the room come together as the basis for the consultation, helping to explore the different configurations of the Eiermann shelving system and find the right combination of colour, material and dimensions for the space.

The unique @modusmoebel material library offers the opportunity to experience materials up close. Textiles, finishes and surfaces can be seen, touched and combined with different colours and material samples, making the process of selecting and refining a design both intuitive and personal. This close engagement with materiality reflects a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and design culture, as well as for the people and expertise behind each material.

The magic of a Berlin summer.

A long birthday weekend by the sea with my favorite people. Moments that felt like being a child again. Also a time of change, of new beginnings, of taking real steps toward the life I’m building. Looking ahead with genuine optimism to an exciting future, knowing I’ve made the right choices, surrounded by people who believe in me.

A special thank you to the team at @the.shoreline.sellin on Rügen, a new destination right on the cliffs of Sellin. Waking up to ocean views and the sound of the waves, in an apartment building that truly thinks of everything, is a one-of-a-kind experience.

A week of Greek island life, shaped by endless beachscapes, authentic cuisine, and my favorite people. A magical house nestled in the Dikeos massif, overlooking the vast eastern Aegean, where sunsets unfold like nowhere else. A place that carries deep meaning for me, one that brings a lightness I can’t compare to anything else. A special thanks to our neighbors @kazino.asomatos - you were our culinary home.

Strolling through Athens, from one pulsating place to another, immersed in the city’s eclectic and unperfectionistic charisma, felt and still feels profoundly refreshing. There is something liberating about encountering a city that carries its own energy, one that does not seek perfection but instead reveals itself through its contrasts, its rhythms, and its imperfections. It was simply a beautiful first glimpse, a way to take in the energy of a city that moves to its own rhythm. The food was exceptional, authentically rooted in its context, yet often marked by subtle and unexpected twists that added a distinctive character to the experience. It was also a pleasure to meet a few people in Athens in person, which added a human dimension to the experience of the city.
