Noyse Ensemble is a punk experiment where technical artefacts, feedback, and industrial textures interfere. In our piece „Body, Score“ we explore the body as memory storage, selfhood and observation, and the process of becoming. Moving between spoken repetition, chaotic noisy systems and release, the work listens into what remains inside us after being seen, shaped, and defined by others.

“Synesthesis” is a listening session format for FLINTA*s, an evening where sound and music, associations, references and ideas can be shared.
You can bring a piece of work, a project or a rough idea that you’d like feedback on. Paper and pens will also be available, so you can react to the sound by drawing whilst listening.
Its a super chill format with no pressure and about exchange.
There will be speakers, CDJs, a beamer and a microphone - so bring your sound on your USB stick, computer, phone or your voice.
We want to try to create a space where sharing feels comfortable. If you don’t feel like it, you don’t have to, of course.

The word ‘synesthesia’ is derived from the Ancient Greek components (syn = together, aisthesis = perception). ‘Perceiving together’ different senses. In a scientific context, synesthesia refers to the phenomenon of linked senses, in which a sensory stimulus (e.g. a sound) automatically triggers a further, additional sensory impression (e.g. a colour).
‘Synthesis’ means combining separate parts, ideas, or substances to form a coherent whole.

To make the event as accessible as possible, it will be based on a donation which we’ll use to try to cover the costs, so everyone can give what they can.

Clara Götte lives and works in Zürich. Her artistic practice encompasses sound, performance, and installation. Through deep listening and the collection of field recordings, she explores how human, non-human, and machine-generated sounds coexist and interact. Collaboration is central to her practice: patching her modular synthesizer is not simply a process of composition, but an act of co-creation with the system, allowing circuits, randomness, and feedback loops to shape the outcome.
Clara is a member of the ambient live duo VCA Schlangebrot and the punk experiment Noyse Ensemble. She founded the sound collective Sonospheres, through which she curates events and facilitates workshops.

RÄTO KESSLER / @kesslerraeto
Räto Kessler is a musician based in Zurich. He is mainly active in the free improvisation scene of Zurich while playing with various different artists in diverse improvisational settings.
With an autodidactic attempt Räto constantly seeks for new sounds and new ways to create them. He plays the guitar as his main instrument but is also a versatile electronic musician with a strong interest in electro-acoustic as well as purely computer music. Recently, he works extensively on audio programming and the attempt to perform interdisciplinarily with dancers.

Limited physical album edition featuring an engraved USB drive, a booklet, a selection of ready-made objects, and a digital cover derived from the physical edition for @claragoette and Kevin Wydler’s debut release Pingu im Paradies under #VCASchlangebrot.

Released in December 2024 as a limited physical edition alongside a digital release on streaming platforms.

The booklet includes a diary entry by @claragoette and a circuit diagram by Kevin Wydler. The USB drive is engraved with a quote from Emily Berry’s Canopy. by @claragoette

Sonospheres Field Recording Workshop: Collective research, recording, and producing

This workshop is open to anyone interested in listening, creating, experimenting, and producing as a shared practice. On the first day we will collectively explore the sonic sphere of our surroundings using different listening and recording techniques. Day 2 and 3 are dedicated to processing, arranging, and composing–using both hardware and software. At the end of the workshop we will put together a digital sample pack as well as a physical cassette with everything collected & produced for you to take home with. Additionally, we will share our work in a collective listening session. People of all levels are welcome.
Sonospheres is a sound collective based in Zürich. Our focus lies on Field Recording, Deep Listening, Skill Sharing, Electroacoustic and Experimental Electronic Music.

Dieser Workshop richtet sich an alle, die Interesse daran haben, gemeinsam zuzuhören, zu experimentieren und zu produzieren. Am ersten Tag erkunden wir gemeinsam die Klangwelt unserer Umgebung mithilfe verschiedener Hör- und Aufnahmetechniken. Die Tage 2 und 3 sind der Bearbeitung, dem Arrangieren und dem Komponieren mit Hardware und Software gewidmet. Am Ende des Workshops stellen wir ein digitales Sample-Pack sowie eine physische Kassette mit allen gesammelten und produzierten Aufnahmen zusammen, das ihr mit nach Hause nehmen könnt. Der Kurs wird mit dem Teilen unserer Arbeiten in einer kollektiven Hörsession beendet. Offen für Teilnehmende aller Levels.
Sonospheres ist ein Sound-Kollektiv aus Zürich. Unser Schwerpunkt liegt auf Field Recording, Deep Listening, Skill Sharing sowie elektroakustischer und experimenteller elektronischer Musik.
