Noyse Ensemble is a punk experiment where technical artefacts, feedback, and industrial textures interfere. In our piece „Body, Score“ we explore the body as memory storage, selfhood and observation, and the process of becoming. Moving between spoken repetition, chaotic noisy systems and release, the work listens into what remains inside us after being seen, shaped, and defined by others.

Werk 21 will soon be haunted by noisy whimsy and eldritch harmony! On the 12th of June, the math rock band Pferd is celebrating the release of their debut album “Gish Gallop”!

Riding with them are two supporting acts:

José Salgado is a composer and founding member of the alternative rock band Manteau, with whom he has toured through renowned venues and festivals across Portugal.
Featuring the ‘unknown trio’ José will explore music from his home country, and other latin influences.

Sara Lehad creates sound performances through no-input mixing, turning the mixer into an autonomous synthesizer. Feedback, effects pedals and granular voices collide into a music of friction — noise, musique concrète, Algerian echoes. Amplified silence, for her, is an allegory of postcolonial silencing : what has been suppressed, rendered inaudible, and finds form through distortion which is a reterritorialization.

҉N҉o҉y҉s҉e҉ is a sonic experiment where algorithms meet classical instrument, harsh noise meets soft soundscapes and the art of improvisation connects two musicians.

Central to our common practice is the merging of Sumanie’s cello and Clara’s modular synthesizer alongside the voice, which moves between spoken word, siren-like singing and bass-heavy growling.
