galatians 2:20

august 24, 2025 will forever be a day stamped into my heart. on some random sunday in the heat of august i gave my life to my King. surrounded by the people who love me most: my friends, family, mentors, and most of all a community that turns my eyes to Him. the decision of baptism came with a lot of thought and prayer, and yet it was the easiest decision i have ever made. on august 24th i made the most important decision of my life but i am now called to the most important style of life: to glorify Him in all that i do daily. taken in Jacob's Dream by @clarapercival03

may i never lose the wonder of Your presence.
may i touch the lepers that society will not.
may my feet move so slow i do not miss the plans You have or trample over the forgotten.
may i let Your love wash over and cleanse
me like the rain showers.
may i scrub the golden streets rather than be royalty in the tents of the wicked.
may i cheer louder for a spare than my own strike.
may i always say “see you later” and never say “goodbye”.
may i find the same beauty in rags as a simple song in the stained glass cathedral.
may i bless the robbers and thieves.
may i listen to the little ones with harmonicas.
may i find blessings in hotdogs on the grass with a conversation wherever i go.
may my eyes and ears always be open for Your children.
may i always give a honk even if that’s all i have.
may i never forget the lessons learned on the streets of this city.

i let go of my desire for power and control.
i let go of my desire for affection, esteem, approval, and pleasure.
i let go of my survival and security.
i let go of my desire to change any situation, condition, person, or myself.
i open to the love and presence of God and God’s action within.

i don’t know where to start. thank you soccer. thirteen years of giving something all my love, energy, dedication, purpose, and heart. this sport will be one of my hardest goodbyes and yet one of the best things that has ever happened to me. the teammates, mentors, lessons, hardships, tears and triumphs, and most all the best of friends that soccer has given me will forever be imprinted on my heart. thank you Lord for carrying me through the lows of life with a sport that has taught me to use my talents to glorify You. thank you Lord for bringing me back for the biggest blessing of a soccer season. soccer has given me more than i could have ever given back.
