Celebrating 2 years since The WholeHearted Actor opened its doors! Together in 2025, The WholeHearted Actor has: • Served 500+ Actors • Gathered 860+ Subscribers • Offered 275+ Hours of Private Coaching • Taped over 140+ hours of Audition Tapes • Offered 50+ Hrs of Free Workshops & Consultations • Hosted 12 Guest speaking & Adjudication events • Become a Certified Women & Minority Owned Businesses I founded The WholeHearted Actor because I wanted to offer high calibre, professional acting training that honors actors as humans before their career. I tackle vulnerability, authenticity, and process- through honoring actor boundaries and agency. I train actors and support them in building consistent, grounded performances as we build a healthy mindset and resilience in the industry. I wanted to create a community to support actors who are committed to working on their craft, building their careers, while also building a gentle approach the industry’s challenges. I’m so honored to work with over 800 actors since we opened. Look at all the talented actors that made that happen! . . . 💛 Addison Murphy 💛 @alynetsioerys 💛 @andrediaz_23 💛 @itsoliviakennedy 💛 @blanca.goodfriend 💛 @sofiaperezbp 💛 @ffmormanni 💛 Shawn Ali 💛 @darbirobbins 💛 @alleeotwell 💛 @thomaschasep_2017 💛 @thealexadelarosa 💛 @_garrett_watson_ 💛 @haifa_kayal 💛 @salem_hadeed 💛 @mollyschooly 💛 @zoe.mk.dunn 💛 @quentinmullon 💛 @monicapquin 💛 @adourinjamelle 💛 @isabellatabio 💛 @goinghams 💛 @frannytitusactor 💛 @bbyleona 💛 @gavin.keoni.spinner 💛 @markkelly3200 💛 @sabrinajoyj 💛 @bellaavelez 💛 Brett Earnest 💛 Christopher Charles 💛 @chejoserivera 💛 @miarahm3 💛 @trinybeaty 💛 @thejaybog 💛 @the.yael.ocasio 💛 @brooklyn.e.moorman 💛 @themodturner 💛 Cora Sharice 💛 @johnnyhall.3 💛 @kelly.y.castro 💛 @campanellajeff 💛 @jonathanramospr 💛 @alice_dehaen 💛 @meechelleseashell 💛 @mmiller353 💛 @actor_jarrarie_ferrari 💛 Laramie Williams 💛 Laura Brookfield 💛 Laura Heath 💛 @clarelopez . . . #TheWholeHeartedActor #ActingStudio #ActorTraining #ActorMindset #AuditionTaping by @clarelopez

Things I am not doing in my acting career: ❣️Giving up on having a personal life. 📈Tracking my audition & Booking numbers. 🪧Staying silent about politics. 🏆Looking for validation. 📥Worrying about why I didn’t book. 📱Chasing social media followers. 🤖Using A.I. 🎬Comparing my tape to the one that booked it. 🧳Being afraid to book out. 👩🏽‍💻Asking casting for feedback. 🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️Hustling. 🗓️Telling myself I’m not an actor because I haven’t worked in a year. 💛I love being an actor. I love what I do. And I am choosing to pursue this career on my own terms. I am committed to working hard, but I am not going to hustle and chase validation. I will stay open to learn, but I am not going to make decisions about my career from a place of scarcity or fear. In order to be an actor, I need to prioritize taking care of my heart, my mental illness, my body, and my relationships and community. I am choosing to live a full and joyful life outside of the industry. .🫶🏽Clare . . . #LifeOfAnActor #ActorsOfInstagram #ActorMindset #ActorInspiration #ActorLife by @clarelopez

💛 Acting Coach. 🕵🏽‍♀️ Hardworking Detective. 🎗️Gritty Survivor. ⚽️ Commercial Mom. 👰🏽‍♀️ Loving Wife. . . I’m so flipping proud of how all these looks came together. It’s a team effort and Nayshka and Rachel went above and beyond to help create distinct worlds with each look. I am painstakingly detailed and specific about my headshot goals- and these women stepped up and delivered such fantastic work. I’m so honored to get to work with such artistry and talent. . . . 📸 @shotsbynayshka + @shotsbynayshka 💄 @blissbeautyartistry + @rachelblissmua 👚 @thewholeheartedactor . . . #ActorLife #ActorsOfIG #LifeOfAnActor #ActorsOfInstagram #ActingHeadshots by @clarelopez

Some thoughts, from me to you, dear actor.
▪️You can do everything right, & still not book the job. ▪️ If it takes more than 3-5 takes, you aren’t ready to tape. ▪️ Your kindness matters more than your talent. ▪️Classes are for building your process, not your resume. ▪️No one thing you do will make or break your acting career ▪️Auditioning in-person won’t increase your chances of booking. ▪️You cannot control your bookings. ▪️You don’t need a demo reel if you haven’t booked work yet. ▪️ Feedback from CDs isn’t actually helpful. ▪️You can’t mindset your way out of systematic racism, misogyny, ableism ect ▪️Your self tapes don’t need to be cinematic. ▪️If you don’t plan to take a break, your body will take one for you. ▪️ You don’t need an agent to start booking paid work. ▪️Your career won’t get easier when you join the union, get an agent, or land a series regular ▪️You deserve a life outside of your career. ▪️ No matter where you are, you are not behind. 🫶🏽 Clare 💛 @clarelopez 🎬 @thewholeheartedactor . . . #ActingTips #ActorsOfInstagram #LifeOfAnActor #ActorMindset #ActorInspiration You can do everything right and still not book the job. There might be 12 amazing actors who are equally talented- and do equally strong work- but only one person can book it. If you are training, have mastered your self tape set up, have killer materials- sometimes there just anything else you can do but be patient. And keep showing up. Stop looking for reasons why you didn’t book the job. Sometimes the reason isn’t helpful- and does have anything to do with you. If it takes more than 3- 5 takes to nail it you aren’t ready tape (yet!). You simply aren’t done with your prep. Don’t use the taping time as your prep time. If you don’t know it- don’t know who you are, who you’re talking to- why you say what you say - and aren’t able to are connected and grounded- you can’t learn all of that while taping. Give yourself time to prep. Taping it fast isn’t fast if it takes you 3 hours to do a 2 page scene. You gotta show up to tape the way you would to set. Be prepared and ready to play. Your kindness matters more than your talent. There are thousands of talent actors. And som by @clarelopez

We need to grant ourselves permision to honor our acting process for the sacred ritual that it is. . . . {We don’t need AI for that. } . . . How to ethically use AI to support your acting career: You can’t! But you can: ▪️ COLLABORATE WITH ARTIST ▪️ ASK FOR AI PROTECTIONS IN YOUR CONTRACTS ▪️HIRE SOMEONE ▪️PAY ATTENTION ▪️CRACK OPEN A BOOK ▪️ DEMAND BETTER WORKING CONDITIONS ▪️ AVOID AI ▪️ BE OKAY WITH MAKING SHITTY ART The nature of our work means that it will never be perfect. We will inevitably send out a script with a typo. Or share a self-tape that had a smudge on the lens. Or straight up: make something that is a little cringe to watch. That is okay. This is how we learn. Every creative needs to make a few ‘bad pancakes’. And the purpose of our work in the end- isn’t about the “product’. Its about the process. So even if the product feels sh*tty - that’s okay. It is the process that makes acting an art form. Our artistry comes from creating a unique interpretation that only we can offer from our lived experience. If we want to cultivate our muscle as actors to innovate, imagine, and interpret; we need to be okay with not being perfect. As storytellers it it vital that we embrace the messy imperfection of our work. 💛 Clare . #ActorsOfInstagram #WorkingActor #ActingTips #ArtificialintelligenceAI #LifeOfAnActor by @clarelopez

To the working actor - who’s not currently working I see you being a kind person in an unkind industry. I see you self-submitting and not getting any auditions. I see you studying in class. I see you auditioning and not landing any bookings. I see you being gentle with yourself when the industry tells you not to. I see you getting on set- and never seeing a second of footage. I see you continuing to show up even when that means taking a break I see you booking work and not having it air anywhere. I see you standing up to unfair working conditions. I see you declining roles that don’t align with your values. I see you working on your materials. I see you taking care of your physical and mental health. I see you working full time to pay your student loans. I see you doing work that pays peanuts, because it fills you creatively. I see you working on creating your own projects. I see you supporting other actors when they book work. I see you being vocal about what matters to you. I see you dedicating your life to truthful storytelling. 💛 I see you. 💛You are not alone. .🫶🏽Clare . . 💛 @clarelopez 🎬 @thewholeheartedactor . . #LifeOfAnActor #ActorsOfInstagram #ActorMindset #ActorInspiration #ActorLife by @clarelopez

Late diagnosed ADHD in women is wiiiiiild! There were signs: 🏆I need things to be perfect - Over preparing to avoid mistakes - double triple checking needing to out perform everyone to prove my value 🛌 I can’t relax without feeling guilty - doing nothing triggers shame - not being productive feels like failure 🤓I’m Chronically clumsy - always dropping things, bumping into things, I have zero body awareness 🏆⭐️I am high achieving, and reliable. i have to outperform peoples expectations 🤔I overthink and over analyze. My mind is always racing. Rehearsing and Replaying conversations 🚫Everything is all or nothing; i’d rather not do it at all if i can’t do it perfectly ⏰I’m terrified of forgetting something; so I’m constantly making lists, alarms, calendars, tabs, color coordinating, visual cues (if I don’t write it down, it won’t happen) 🍽️ I get long stretches of Hyper focus and productivity - I forget to eat for hours 🪨I get overwhelmed & can’t do anything; no matter how much I need to do something I physically can’t move ♥️ I have really big feelings. people have told me i am too emotional ✍🏼I struggle with verbal instructions; i need everything to be written down 😔I am somehow ‘too much’ & not enough 🗣️I constantly feel the need to over explain -I’m terrified of being misunderstood so I constantly contextualize and process out loud 👌🏼I show up perfectly for work, but can’t show up for myself - I find myself canceling plans with friends or rest. 🔁 I often have to ask people to repeat themselves. I know they’re talking, but my brain often doesn’t catch it until the tail end of what they are saying so I don’t always know what they are talking about 🐓 I feel the need to interrupt, because afraid I’ll forget what I am going to say if I don’t share it in that exact moment 🐐I need structure, but I hate being told what to do . . . #WomenWithADHD #LifeOfAnActor #NeurodivergentWomen #MindsetForActors #MentalIllnessAcceptance by @clarelopez
