A heartfelt toast to two of the English Division’s finest upon their retirement! Dr. Allen Grove, Professor of English and long-time Director of the CLAS First Year Experience (FYE) Program, and Dr. Susan Mayberry, Professor of English, both retired this past summer.

Dr. Grove and Dr. Mayberry, thank you for your many years of teaching, scholarship, advising, mentoring, trips to Stratford, bird-banding at Foster Lake, and many, many other acts of service. We are so grateful for all you gave to Alfred University and generations of students of English and beyond. Congratulations: enjoy your well-earned retirements! 💜💛🥂
