Tides of Freedom screens this Friday at @femalefilmmakersfestival in Berlin and I’ll be there for the screening and a Q&A.

The festival run so far includes the world premiere at the B3 Biennale of the Moving Image, 6 nominations at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival, the win for Best Costume Design at the Third Culture Film Festival, nominations at Conero Film & ADV and the London Fashion Film Festival (nominated for Best Emerging Talent), the shortlist for the New Generation Award at Berlin Commercial and a screening at the Braunschweig International Film Festival, among others.

The One person. One voice. project within the Mental Health in Fashion campaign is featured in nss magazine.

A moment that brings visibility to conversations around mental health in fashion, structural challenges within the industry & consumer culture.

Developed together with artist Claudia Malecka, the first One person. One voice. edition is now officially launched as part of the ongoing campaign.

The project is envisioned to continue into additional cities & we are currently looking for partners & supporters to help make this possible. Press, institutions & collaborators interested in contributing are warmly invited to get in touch.

We continue to build space for awareness, reflection & change.

Can looking back at who we were help us become who we want to be? 🌊

In “TIDES OF FREEDOM” by Claudia Malecka (Germany🇩🇪), memories become the starting point for a poetic journey of self-discovery, reflection and inner liberation.

Dreamlike and visually expressive, “Tides of Freedom” explores the relationship between memory, identity and the freedom that can emerge when we reconnect with our inner selves. 🙌

Claudia is a multidisciplinary artist, creative director and photographer working across film, fashion, music and culture. Exploring themes of emotion and identity, her work has been shown internationally and recognised with awards including the B3 Emerging Talent Award.

When an industry stays silent, it takes people who create space for voices to be heard again. During Berlin Fashion Week 2025, 35 portraits of people from fashion and beyond were created – each person portrayed shares a personal statement on Mental Health in Fashion.
The series sits between studio photography and documentation – a mirror of the industry it portrays. The street becomes a studio, the everyday a stage: a white, suspended surface blends out everything superfluous and gives the people and their words radical presence.
People from design, media, craftsmanship, education and activism speak about performance pressure, vulnerability, empathy and mental strength.
