I made this poster for the @noahkahanmusic show at the Rose Bowl this past weekend. It was fun to work on and everything went smoothly, but swipe through to see all the terrible bootlegs being sold. Here’s what I think happened:
1. @kahanhq posted a video of the posters being printed.
2. People (or maybe just bots) took a screenshot of that video and started selling prints of the screenshot. They didn’t even bother to crop out the registration marks! And it seems like a lot of people are buying these shitty bootlegs. Total bummer! by @clayhickson

For as long as I’ve been doing illustration work, I’ve wanted to illustrate a children’s book. So a few years ago, as a personal exercise, I decided to pick an existing story and illustrate it. I settled on that old folk-parody, “On Top of Spaghetti” because I like drawing food and it seemed like it would be fun to expand on. In my telling, the meatball rolls off the table, out the door, and goes on a cross-country journey - making friends, getting into trouble and enjoying life as a spicy, young meatball. Long story short, after a few weeks of living it up in the big city, the meatball gets lonely rolling around on his own. Just then an old lady in a deli sneezes and her matzo ball goes flying out the door. The meatball and matzo ball fall in love. The end.

I never did anything with it, but here are few excerpts (some unfinished). I thought I’d share them in case anyone out there happens to be a weirdo children’s book publisher. by @clayhickson
