Studio is finally open. And although I didn’t do this painting in my studio, it makes sense to show it off here first. Did this in my make shift art studio in the guest bedroom of our San Francisco flat before moving. Oil on panel, glazed to resemble stained glass and serve as a reminder that we belong in elevated status like many other depictions of religious figures. #oilpaintings #figuartiveart #portraitpainting #blackart #charlestonartist taken in Charleston, South Carolina by @clbradley

A September to remember - big output this month, and more to come. HUGE project my wife and I are working on at the moment, but it’s top secret. And it’s at the top of all my achievements to date. #tobecontinued #arcade taken in Charleston, South Carolina by @clbradley

+++ ARTISTIC HAVEN +++

This little art studio in our previous California home was always one of my favorite spaces. @clbradley and I wanted it to feel completely personal; a place for him to paint, experiment, and surround himself with the things that inspired him.

The French cleat wall was Cory's idea, a way to build a truly modular art wall. He designed and built a range of custom attachments to hold everything from his art supplies to the artwork itself. The wood rail system gave us the freedom to constantly rearrange and reconfigure, moving Cory's paintings and a handful of favorite objects collected over the years in and out as the mood struck. It was never meant to look perfect or overly designed. It was creative, a little messy, and full of personality, and that's exactly what made it so special.

Now just wait what is in store for you to see when we share his new studio! :-)
