+++ ARTISTIC HAVEN +++

This little art studio in our previous California home was always one of my favorite spaces. @clbradley and I wanted it to feel completely personal; a place for him to paint, experiment, and surround himself with the things that inspired him.

The French cleat wall was Cory's idea, a way to build a truly modular art wall. He designed and built a range of custom attachments to hold everything from his art supplies to the artwork itself. The wood rail system gave us the freedom to constantly rearrange and reconfigure, moving Cory's paintings and a handful of favorite objects collected over the years in and out as the mood struck. It was never meant to look perfect or overly designed. It was creative, a little messy, and full of personality, and that's exactly what made it so special.

Now just wait what is in store for you to see when we share his new studio! :-)

+++ HBD - 7 YEARS APOLLO +++

Seven years of the best moves, the warmest cuddles, and a song, always a song! Apollo walks through life with music pouring out of him, from morning to night, whether anyone asked for it or not. And honestly? We wouldn't have it any other way.

He is the kind of big brother who makes you believe everything is going to be okay. The moment Akira could say anything, she said Ababo, and he has earned every syllable. He is her person, and she is his, and watching that unfold has been one of the greatest gifts of this whole wild ride.

He loves hard, swims harder, and has moves that belong on a much bigger stage. Seven looks so good on you, Apollo. We love you more than all the songs you know and that is saying something. 🎂

Happy Birthday to the man who I got to start this beautiful family with and still always finds time to perfect his fade. :-)

Choosing your art, fully and boldly, takes real courage, and watching your career as a painter take shape is one of the things I am most excited about for what's ahead. But it's the everyday things that say the most. The dance parties that appear out of nowhere, even to beeping car alarms. The willingness to dress up in whatever the kids dream up, no questions asked, no matter how elaborate. The coaching, the barbering, the showing up. always fully, always with heart.

+++ ONE YEAR CHARLESTON +++

One year ago today we loaded up the car and drove across the country, leaving San Francisco behind for a city we have loved for years.

It has been the most remarkable year. New streets to learn, new people who became fast friends, a career that has grown in ways we couldn’t have planned. Charleston has given us more than we dared to hope for.

And the kids, watching them find a kind of freedom here we couldn’t have given them before. More space, more air, more room to just be. They’ve lived it fully and we’ve gotten to watch it happen.

We miss our people on the West Coast every day. And there is nothing quite like getting to show this place to the ones who have made the trip, watching friends fall a little in love with it the way we did.

Here is to the next year of making many more memories together!

+++ HBD - AKIRA 2 +++

Two years of the biggest smiles, the warmest hugs, and a heart so full it spills into every room she enters. Our girl made sure she arrived on her own terms, and from the very first moment, she has shown us exactly who she is.

She sleeps like a dream, eats everything in front of her, and decided at 19 months that diapers were simply not for her. She greets everyone in the morning, says goodnight to every single person in the evening, and checks in throughout the day to make sure her people are close, because family is her everything, and she takes that job seriously.

She is the surprise we didn't know we needed, and the sunshine we can't imagine living without. She has taught us how to slow down and speed up all at the same time — and somehow, she makes both feel like exactly the right pace.

Thank you for picking us. We are so incredibly lucky to be loved by you. Happy 2nd Birthday to our most precious girl, we cannot wait to watch you grow into every beautiful thing you already are. 🌸 @clbradley

I give you Paris in Springtime😂 This was not filmed at Tyler Perry Studios lol

I absolutely love the wedding scenes in black-rom coms and my cousin’s wedding felt like a movie! A room filled with love, laughter, forgiveness, joy and fun!

And it reminds me, if we could read some of the scripts of our lives ahead of time, we’d prob throw them away😅 So grateful I got to see how this love story played out❤️

June 12th, 1967. The day the Supreme Court struck down laws banning interracial marriage across the United States. Loving Day (Mildred Jeter & Richard Loving). 🤍🤎

I think about the couples who fought for that right, who simply wanted to love who they loved and build a life together. That beautiful, messy, joyful family we’ve built is possible because of them. Feeling endlessly grateful today and every day. ❤️

+++ HBD - 11 YEARS CASHUS +++

11 years of loyal eyes, muddy paws, couch cuddles, and a love that fills every room he walks into. Cashus isn't just our dog, he's the heart of this family, the one everyone looks for the moment they walk through the door. He holds us all together in the most quiet and beautiful way.
He is a dog of great conviction: fully devoted to food, yet the moment someone turns on the kitchen vent, he disappears to the furthest corner of the house — a lesson learned from one too many fire alarms that he has clearly never forgotten. And without fail, he will never greet you at the door without something in his mouth — a toy, a doll, a sock, a shoe — whatever he can find, because a proper welcome deserves a proper offering.
We couldn't imagine a single day without him. Happy Birthday to our sweetest, most beloved boy. Forever and always. 🤎🐾 @clbradley

Cory and I have been doing a weekly date night for almost two years now, and it’s truly been one of the best things for us: helping us slow down, reconnect, and stay close through all the beautiful chaos of life. Now that we get to call this new city home, we’ve made it our little ritual to try somewhere new each time.

I realized… why not share these little discoveries here? I find inspiration everywhere we go, whether it’s the interiors, the atmosphere, the service, or the food.

Our most recent stop was @lowlandcharleston , and it’s currently at the top of our list. 🥂 We ended up in the sweetest nook all the way in the back, just the two of us tucked by the fireplace, and it made the whole night feel extra special. Can’t wait to share more of these moments as we keep exploring Charleston together. 🤍
