We are a few weeks away from the NY Sheep and Wool Festival in Rhinebeck, NY and we are a vendor! Please make sure to visit us at Barn 35 - Booth 8. This will be our fifth year! We started Clean Cashmere in 2022 at this festival after two years of market research, development and a combined 30 years of cashmere goat farming! We are so excited to continue this journey while working collaboratively with each other, our herd farms, designers and makers like you! Will you be attending? Growing our supply chain working with farms across the country means shorter travel distances, closer relationships with the people growing and making our yarn, and the ability to focus on quality at every stage of the process. It means creating something with intention - not speed. Keeping production close to home allows us to make cashmere that feels more connected: to the farms, to the yarns, and to the people creating with them. by @cleancashmere

So when you’re looking for ethical cashmere, start here: Know your farmer. Last year we had a pop-up at @stitchhavenct in Westport, CT and a customer purchased skeins of DREAM yarn to make a sweater that we thought would be absolutely gorgeous! We exchanged contact info to see the final product and we misplaced it. If by chance it was you who knit this sweater in our yarn - please reach out to us! That would be a dream come true! DREAM yarn is our newest line of cashmere yarn with 50% clean cashmere and 50% shaniko wool - all grown and milled in the US. It’s soft, squishy and a DK weight yarn that would make the coziest sweater! by @cleancashmere
